CHIFA can score for a fourth time this year in the Unibet Support Safe Gambling Handicap (6.30)

over seven furlongs at Kempton.

Ed de Giles’ six-year-old has an effective turn of foot and likes to come from off the pace, which can admittedly create its own problems, as was the case on his last run at the Sunbury track nine days ago, when finishing second to Dark Side Thunder.

The grey found his passage to the front hindered on the rail at a crucial moment and just failed by a head to peg back the leader.

His last victory was at Wolverhampton last month, where he again had his route blocked entering the closing stages, but the gelding still had too much pace for his rivals and won quite cosily in the end.

Clearly in excellent form at the moment, my selection’s extra gear should give him the edge.
