Gym buffs can save big as Myprotein launches Black Friday sale
Gym and fitness gear has become a major part of Black Friday sales in recent years.
The Black Friday sales are currently underway, or are coming very soon for some brands, but for many major outlets in the fitness world it's all systems go and Myprotein is no different, with some big price drops already live. Whether you're looking to bulk up, cut or just keep at your own level, protein supplements are a great way to get that extra nutritional kick when you're on the go, post workout or even just need a mid-afternoon boost.
I'll be honest, Myprotein was my favourite go-to for all things gym supplements a few years back until prices started to rise in the latter stages of the pandemic as it collided with the cost of living crisis. The price hike, which they acknowledged, put me off due to the steep hike in some of my go-to products and so I started to do without and look for alternatives, but to no avail.
As of a year ago, Myprotein cited factors such as the price of Sweet Whey Protein, which they said had gone up by 87% in the previous two years, and other contributing elements such as demand outstripping supply for the reasons in the price rise. However, this latest sale has come as a shock as prices really dipped and a lot of items have deals on that brings them very closely back to pre-pandemic sale levels, making this Black Friday deal a genuine contender for one of the best sales around right now.
With that in mind, this sale is now where I expect to spend the most time during Black Friday as I look to stock up on some much needed gym supplements. Starting with a trusted item, my all-time favourite Myprotein supplement to use after a workout is the Clear Whey.

This six-pack of BCAA Energy in Cherry Cola flavour was my favourite pre-workout as I found that it not only tastes great but it doesn't have that pulsating buzz feeling pure pre-workout powder can give you. A pack of the BCAA is now £6.59 down from £10.99 making it another deal highlight, but If you want something a little different from a mixing powder or drinks then this box of Baked Cookies, which I highly recommend, is now £9.49 down from £18.99 and makes for a tasty snack that won't derail your gym regime.
