Neighbours told of harrowing scenes as a man, believed to be Aroen Kishen, the father of the children, screamed, “My children, my children” outside the burning house on Sunday night. He and his wife Seema are believed to have been inside the house when the fire broke out.

One man, thought to have been Mr Kishen, managed to escape the home before the fire brigade arrived. He had to be rushed to hospital. Firefighters who braved the blaze and rushed inside the flat found a further five people on the first floor. They were all pronounced dead at the scene.
