Logan Paul announces his retirement from boxing after Dillon Danis fight
YouTube boxer Logan Paul is hanging up his gloves after beating Conor McGregor's teammate Dillon Danis last month.
Paul fought for the first time in over two years when he beat Danis by disqualification on the Misfits Boxing Prime card in Manchester. Danis, a multiple-time Brazilian jiu-jitsu world champion, barely threw any punches in the fight and was disqualified after trying to choke Paul out in the final round, which led to a huge brawl unfolding in the ring.
The American told Fox Business: "I think I’m retired from boxing. I’ve done enough going fully undefeated at 25-0. I’m going to be a wrestler now. No more money in boxing, every company is going broke. Full-time wrestler. Beat Rey Mysterio. Fair and square for the US Championship. It feels great. It was a dominant performance. Some frog splashes, some punches, it feels good.”

Paul made his first WWE appearance just weeks before going the distance with boxing legend Floyd Mayweather in their un-scored exhibition fight. No winner was declared after eight rounds, but punch stats show that Mayweather out-landed Paul despite throwing 100 less punches.
Logan Paul and KSI announce new partnership with UFC president Dana WhiteJust a year on from the exhibition fight, Paul signed a multi-event contract with WWE. 'The Maverick' has since become a breakout star in the wrestling world and was praised during his win against Mysterio last week after saving the legend from landing on his head after a flip off the ropes that went wrong.
Logan was responsible for kickstarting the influencer boxing scene when he fought fellow YouTuber KSI in 2017, with the Brit now being his business partner as they co-own the immensely popular Prime Energy drink together. Their first white-collar fight ended in a majority draw and KSI controversially won their professional rematch the following year.
KSI admitted that he may also be done with boxing after losing to Tommy Fury at the same event that hosted Paul vs Danis. “Right now, I feel like I’ve retired. It’s weird. I haven’t trained since the fight. I’ve kind of just enjoyed my life." KSI said of his boxing career whilst appearing on Paul's Impaulsive podcast.
