Strictly's Angela Rippon's poignant regular contact with ex-husband

With her impressive dancing skills, stunning looks, and charming personality, Angela Rippon has become a much-loved figure on the popular TV show Strictly Come Dancing.

During her week one performance, the viewers of the BBC1 show were left speechless, and she continues to impress, becoming the contest's third highest-scoring couple with her partner Kai Widdrington.

Week seven saw the 78-year-old take on the waltz, the first dance she learned to do, and despite her hard work, the dance did not overall impress the judges. In fact, it saw Angela in the bottom two and in a dance-off with Adam Thomas and dance partner Luba Mushtuk with their rumba.

But despite the tense dance-off, Angela edged out Adam and won the dance-off. No matter the judges' critiques, Angela Rippon has proven to be a force to be reckoned with on Strictly Come Dancing, stealing the show with her incredible talent and dedication.

And as Angela continues to wow audiences with her dancing skills on Strictly Come Dancing, she may also be finding comfort in her ex-husband amidst the competition stress. She was just 22 when she tied the knot with her childhood sweetheart, Christopher Dare. However, after 23 years of marriage, the couple called it quits, and Angela kept the separation a secret for a year.

Despite the pain of the split, Angela and Christopher are still on good terms and talk regularly. He now lives in Spain with his partner, Judy, and the couple update Angela on their life in Spain.

In a recent interview, Angela said: "He and I are still good friends. I talk to him on the phone a couple of times a month. We email each other. He lives in Spain now with his partner, Judy. We exchange cards for birthdays and Christmas. Judy kind of updates me on what they're doing with their home down in Spain. It's a good relationship for all of us."

Angela also opened up about their 25-year marriage and the reason behind their separation. According to Angela, Christopher was tired of people coming to their house, which eventually led to their split. "I got fed up of people coming to our house all the time," Christopher reportedly told her.

Despite the painful separation, Angela and Christopher remain good friends and ever since the divorce Angela has preferred to keep her personal life private and away from the public eye. She has spoken about how content she is with her single life, and is instead focusing on her career and pursuing her passions. In an interview with MailOnline, she added: "I suppose, if I'm honest, when your heart is broken, it's tough but I've been very happy being single and pursuing my career."
