It's no secret that the world of dating can be treacherous, and one woman knows all too well the woes of dating someone new.

First dates can be scary, but if all goes well and you decide on a second date - you'd think by getting the initial first meeting out the way you would feel a little more at ease and know what to expect from the other person.

However one woman was left red faced after her date told her she'd "put some weight on" since their first date - and was taken back to the train station five minutes after arriving.

Jade Savage spent £93 travelling three hours between Leicestershire and Peterborough for a Tinder date and claimed was called fat and dumped as soon as she arrived. The care support worker then set up a joke GoFundMe page - and quickly met her £90 target.

Travelling 82 miles, she claimed as soon as he saw her, her bloke told her she had "put some weight on" since their last date four weeks earlier. And then, five minutes later, she says he dropped her back at the station when she told him he was rude for insulting her again.

Size-14 Jade had already had a bad start when she missed her coach to Peterborough from her home in Syston, Leicestershire, and had to get a train. To make matters worse after she had been left at the station she had to wait an hour before she could get another train back.

The mum-of-one told The Sun in 2019 that the pair had met a few times before and she was chatting to him on the phone when she arrived. She explained: "That's when he said, 'F*** me, you have put some weight on haven't you?' I was like, 'No, you can't say that'.

"It was clear he wanted to call the whole thing off but I still hoped we could have a nice time so we went to his car. But he said, 'I can say it, it's a fact. You have put weight on, so therefore I can joke about it', I called him a pr*** but he then went berserk and said, 'You what, you think I'm a pr***?’ He drove me back to the station and told me I had put him in a bad mood and that I had to go home."

In total, Jade spent £30 on taxis, £12 on a missed coach, £46 on the train and another £5 on wine to drown her sorrows. Jade was given £750 in donations and even had offers of dates.
