Coleen Rooney has offered an update on her romance with Wayne Rooney after reliving his string of cheat scandals in her new autobiography.

The mum-of-four has been open about footballer Wayne's infidelities and the difficulties the pair have faced. Whilst she insists there has never been a time where they didn't love one another, she did admit that it has been difficult at times for the pair, but they are adamant to push through and make it work for the sake of their relationship.

Speaking to hosts Rochelle Humes and Craig Doyle on This Morning today, Coleen gave an update on her romance with Wayne, sharing: "I want to tell my truth and let people know who I am and the reasons behind my actions. The relationship with Wayne, it's been hard over the years but if the love's still there, why not see if you can still work it out. They don't know what goes on in our life. It was out there, we've dealt with it and now we're moving on."

In 2017, Wayne was pictured in a car with mum-of-one Laura Simpson after a boozy night out in Cheshire. He not only was forced to apologise to Coleen but had to win over his in-laws to get Coleen back home with him, whilst in August 2019, Wayne was snapped getting into a hotel lift with a mystery brunette after a reported seven-hour bender with his clubmates in Vancouver.

He reportedly had a threesome with Helen Wood and £1,200-a-night prostitute Jenny Thompson, who claimed she had seen him on over seven occasions, each time being organised on a pay as you go phone.

During a chat with Vogue, Coleen said it was hard for the cheating scandals to be so much in the public eye. "Obviously everybody knows. It’s been hard to go through it in the public eye but there has always been love there. If the love is gone then, you know, it’s pointless. But if not, you’ve got something to work for," she said.

"I look at any situation we’re in and think, 'Could we move forward from that? Is it worth moving forward from that?' I don’t just give up," she confessed, before joking: "We’ve never backed away from it. We own it. I remember having a conversation about this with someone and I said, 'Well, do you know what your wife gets up to every day and night? At least I know what my husband’s doing!' It mightn’t be good, but I know. People lie to themselves."

Wayne was offered a contract with Washington-based DC United in 2008, with Coleen moving with her kids and husband to the US so he could follow his dreams. However, it was really tough for her.

In her documentary, Coleen admitted: "When I was living in America, even though we had Wayne and the kids, there's no one else close by. And it was just our little family there in that big country. I felt so lonely. I've always thought there's no such thing as homesickness. I was homesick. Because of the things that have happened to my life, I try and be strong for others. I don't want people worrying about me when they've got their own worries in life. But sometimes I can crack."
