E4 Married at First Sight viewers gobsmacked by Peggy’s ‘bizarre’ Tudor mansion
E4 Married at First Sight viewers were left gobsmacked by Peggy’s “bizarre” Tudor mansion.
During the latest episode of the dating show, the couples were given a glimpse at their partner’s ‘real lives’ away from the cameras, as the contestants got a chance to see how their loved ones really lived. In Monday’s episode, fans were stunned to see Peggy bring Georges to her huge Tudor-style family home, with the 32-year-old tech expert giving viewers a look round the massive property.
However, some were taken aback by the unusual interiors, with many taking to social media to slam the “vile” decor, which fused antiques with glitz. “One question....WFH is Peggy's house all about?” one tweeted, as another spotted the half-naked mannequin that was placed in Peggy’s bedroom. “What is that weird-ass scantily clad Mannequin in Peggy's room?!” they commented.
While others were quick to pick on the mock Tudor style of the mansion, with one joking: “Does Peggy live in a Tudor house? No seriously, half expected to see the ghost of Elizabeth I shaking her head in disapproval.” One viewer tweeted: “Peggy's Mam and Dad deffo vote against children having free school meals, state of that house looks like Downton Abbey.”
Another cheekily quipped: “I'm not being funny, but Peggy and her family are so old school I doubt they have Wi-Fi in their house,” as one eagle-eyed viewer spotted the mirrored wall hanging that was encrusted with the word ‘love’. “Is it me or do they have this sign in every room?” they joked.

All about precious Peggy. She’s not a princess despite living in the castle. Run fast Georges if you can find your way out of that house,” they wrote.
Fans of the show aren’t pulling any punches with this season of MAFS UK, as they previously slammed Laura’s “vile” friends after they argued with tennis coach Arthur. Dubbed “Cinderella's evil step stepsisters” by viewers, Laura’s pals cruelly complained about not being impressed with Arthur, before eventually calling him a “d***head”. Furious, Arthur stormed off, but not before telling the bride’s friends to “f**k off”.
Some even branded the pair as “social climbers”, and claimed they were only on the show in a bid to get on reality show Made In Chelsea. “These greasy little social climbers (and yes, I'm including Laura in that) wouldn't last a minute in the company of actual posh people. Sad little pretenders,” one fumed. “What are those made in Chelsea wannabes on about leave Arthur alone,” another fired.
