Big Brother fan requests 'offensive' item be removed after Mathew Perry's death
A Big Brother fan became the subject of ridicule after they requested that show bosses remove the hot tub in the house, in respect of Matthew Perry who was found dead in his jacuzzi at his LA home.
Soon after news broke of the star's death, it was believed that Matthew, best known for playing Chandler Bing in US sitcom Friends had drowned in his jacuzzi alone at his home.. Although, the initial results of his autopsy were inconclusive. And so further tests mean that the cause of his tragic death will reportedly not be determined for weeks to come.
However, this did little to deter the Big Brother fan as they wrote on the show's fan group page on Facebook that they found the inclusion of the hot tub "offensive." They penned: "I think they should remove the hot tub out in respect of Mathew Perry it’s offensive (sic)." Unlike most comments regarding the show, many took to other social media platforms to express their opinion on the bizarre comment.

Another person joked: "Maybe remove the loo out of respect to Elvis and Lupe Velez." A third added: "For god sake." And someone else said: "Ban cars, think about James Dean." And in reference to Matthew's character Chandler's sarcastic phrases, another person said: Could they BE any more hysterical?"
But it didn't end there as another person was more focused on the fact the Big Brother fan made such a bold statement without knowing how to spell Matthew's name correctly. The said: "Showing enough respect to ask for a hot tub to be removed but not enough to correctly spell the name of the person they are doing it for." This was followed by a laughing emoji. Another added: "My great Aunt choked on a grape so they should ban eating on the show as well.

It read: "We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family. There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss. In time we will say more, as and when we are able. For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty's family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world." Matthew had in the past spoken openly about his battle with addiction.
In a statement, Matthew's family also wrote: "We are heartbroken by the tragic loss of our beloved son and brother. Matthew brought so much joy to the world, both as an actor and a friend. You all meant so much to him and we appreciate the tremendous outpouring of love." Last weekend family and friends attended Matthew's funeral held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles. The cemetery, which is opposite the Warner Bros Studios, is where the show Friends was filmed for ten years. His father John Bennett Perry, his stepfather Keith Morrison, and his mother Suzanne were among guests at the emotional farewell. All of his co-stars were also in attendance.
