The Glazers are facing calls for change over the futures of Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag and Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles.

Both sports teams that the Glazer family owns are off to slow starts to the season. Manchester United sit eighth in the Premier League after 11 games, while the Buccaneers have lost four straight games and are third in the NFC South.

Bowles and Ten Hag are each in their second seasons on the job, but their teams are underperforming after encouraging debut campaigns. United finished third a year ago and qualified for the Champions League, while Tampa Bay topped their division and made the Wild-Card Round of the NFL playoffs.

A weekend win at Fulham seems set to keep Ten Hag at Old Trafford for a little longer, but Bowles faces further questions following another damaging defeat. The Bucs had a four-point lead on the road at the Houston Texans with less than a minute remaining in the fourth quarter, only for the hosts to score a touchdown with six seconds left on the clock.

The week before, they lost 24-18 at the Buffalo Bills despite tying the game up at 10-10 midway through the second quarter. October also saw the team lose against divisional rivals the Atlanta Falcons on a last-second Younghoe Koo field goal from 51 feet out.

Overall, they have lost five of their last six games after starting the season with consecutive wins. They now face the prospect of missing the postseason for the first time since 2019.

The 2023 season is their first without quarterback Tom Brady leading the team after the veteran retired during the offseason. Three years ago, the franchise was Super Bowl champions during his debut campaign, and Bowles was their defensive coordinator for that triumph.

After working alongside head coach Bruce Arians for three years in Tampa Bay, Bowles replaced the veteran coach last offseason, who retired to become the team's senior football consultant. But now the relatively new head coach is on the hot seat.

He did not mince his words after the game, either. "It's a devastating loss, no doubt about it," he told reporters. We gotta eat it, and all of us feel the same way, especially me.

"I've been coaching a long time; I haven't been involved in too many of these where its been back and forth like that and came down out on the other end, with a few things happening. We gotta eat it, and we should be p***** off all week. We own it.

"You know, they scored more than enough points on offence to do it. Defensively and fundamentals of the technique, the breakdowns at the end of the ball game and the start of the third quarter are unacceptable."

Bryan, Edward and Joel Glazer are co-chairmen of the organisation. Darcie Glazer Kassewitz is the president of the front office.
