Joe Sugg and Dianne Buswell strip off on mini-break after Bobby Brazier drama
Joe Suggs and Dianne Buswell looked as loved up as ever as he whisked the Strictly Come Dancing professional away for a mini break - after speculation about the state of their relationship hit new levels of scrutiny.
The 32-year-old YouTube content creator and the 34-year-old Australian dancer have been an item since 2018 after the hit BBC dance show brought them together. Joe and Dianne were paired as contestants during season 16 of the show - when she was still dating soap actor Anthony Quinlan - where they ended up in second place behind winners Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton.
And while the duo have been very loved up in the years in-between, fears that the romantically fatal Strictly Curse could be targeting their love began to swirl this year after Dianne was paired with 20-year-old EastEnders actor Bobby Brazier for the 2023 season. Bobby himself has confessed he has ‘fallen in love’ with Dianne - while reports have suggested she is “trying to maintain” distance from her much younger dance partner.
Now Joe has been enjoying some private romantic time with Dianne - which he has shared via social media for all the world to see. On Sunday, the cute couple stripped down to their swimwear and took a dip in an outdoor pond as they bonded following the latest weekend of Strictly action.
Sharing a snap of them together while largely submerged in water, Joe wrote that he and Dianne were “pretending to be frogs” while swimming together. Dianne shared the same image on her own Instagram Stories and suggested: “Or mermaids” alongside a mermaid emoji and a red heart emoji.
Strictly's Molly Rainford and Tyler West fuel romance rumours while on tourJoe has been proudly supporting Dianne while she has been competing on Strictly this year. And he has even confessed he has been moved to tears by her performances. Appearing on the official Strictly podcast, Joe gushed: “It’s not very often that Strictly Come Dancing makes me cry, even when I was on the show. But I may have shed a little tear, I think, during this episode.”
Last month, Bobby raised eyebrows when he declared that he had fallen for dance partner Dianne. In an interview with the Mirror he declared: “I could speak about Dianne all day. She’s just a diamond – you know what, I’m falling in love with her. She’s just great. I feel very lucky.”
Meanwhile, their sizzling routines have continued to fuel speculation the soap actor could have strong feelings for the dancer - while their performances have also included a shock kiss. However, Body language expert Darren Stanton has claimed he has noticed Dianne trying to keep away from her younger dance partner.
After watching them together on Strictly spin off show It Takes Two, he declared: “Dianne and Bobby generally do have a deep connection and deep rapport. I’ve previously noticed that Dianne can find Bobby slightly overpowering, however she’s got used to him now to some degree. There are still a few tell-tale signs that show there is a bit of a disparity between the dynamic of the two of them, as Bobby can be quite full on and a complete firecracker.”
