Harry Styles could be getting his own residency in Las Vegas.

The former One Direction singer, 29, has received a formal invitation to set up shop at Sin City’s newest venue, The Sphere, which is part of the Venetian resort. At the moment it is hosting U2’s UV Achtung Baby Live, which is scheduled to run until February 2024.

With the final date of Bono and co’s show now just months away, there’s been much speculation about who might take to the stage next - and Harry is a top contender. Last month, MSG Entertainment CEO James Dolan told Fox News that Harry is welcome to take up residency whenever he chooses.

When questioned about rumours that Harry wanted to make the place "his house", he smiled and said: “We love Harry and whenever Harry wants to come, we’re ready.” Back in January, The Sun that Harry had been offered $50million (£40.4million) to play at least 10 shows at the Sphere, which would equate to a weekly residency spread over several months.

A source told the paper: “The team backing the project want it to be a success, so they are putting together several big names for the opening weeks. U2 are one of those, but Harry too is seen as a top booking to attract audiences.

"He had one of the biggest tours of 2022, can fill out arenas with ease and appeal to fans of all ages. He would be seen as a major coup for making The Sphere the hottest spot in Vegas.”

Fans have gone wild over the reports and have taken to X to share their thoughts. "Omg- does this mean-- should we be booking flights and stuff soon?" one person asked. Another fan said: "This is very good for his career, a wonderful singer, it's time to receive this invitation, you are a phenomenon, Harry, accept it as soon as your entire audience will be there to applaud you and celebrate with you!" A third fan simply wrote: "PLEASE."

The Sphere has received rave reviews from fans due to its futuristic shape and high-tech AV set-up. The auditorium has a capacity of 18,000, is 366 feet tall and 516 feet wide, and has 164,000 surround-sound speakers.

There are also other connections between the Redditch-born singer and the enormous entertainment complex. Pauli Lovejoy, known as Pauli The PSM, who worked with Harry on his most recent tour, is currently the opener for U2’s shows.
