Amy Hart admits she's 'worried' about son Stanley after 'painful' skin diagnosis
Love Island's Amy Hart has shared an update about her baby son Stanley's health condition, after previously expressing frustration over the seven-month-old 'painful' skin issues.
The 31-year-old, best known for starring on the 2019 series of the ITV reality show, took to Instagram on Sunday to reveal that she, her partner and their child had come down with an nasty bout of sickness.
"What I'm really worried about is, we've just got his skin really nice...and when I say really nice, I don't mean looking nice. I mean like, he's not scratching himself until he bleeds." She went on to reveal that a "little virus" had triggered eczema in Stanley ten weeks ago, which then turned into a yeast infection.
Last month, Amy expressed frustration over her son's "painful" skin problems, particularly around his neck. "Stanley's skin around his neck is just so bad at the moment. His body is fine now, and his eyes are on and off OK," she told her followers on October 4th. "But his skin around his neck is so bad, and I just got really angry at the world."
Ill health appears to have struck the Hart household once again, with both Amy and her fiancé Sam Rason coming down with a mystery sickness over the past few days. "Stanley is now also ill as well," she lamented, after admitting it hurts to "swallow" and speak. She added that they were spending time "snuggled under a blanket" watching Sesame Street to try in an attempt to make her young son feel better.
TOWIE's Chloe Brockett makes cheeky dig at Saffron Lempriere during filmingThe caring mum didn't say exactly what the family was ill with, but she did share that she was starting to feel better after a "horrendous" Friday. The former flight attendant ended her video by saying, "I don't really have time to be ill, I've got a lot of work this week," before sharing the creams a private dermatologist recommended for Stanley.
One cream could be bought from the pharmacy, but the other had to be specially ordered. Amy thanked her local pharmacy for helping to find the ointment, which cost them £72 for a 15ml tube.
This isn't the first time that Amy, who famously walked out of the Love Island villa on Day 37, has shared her health struggles with the public. In June 2022, she revealed she had a stomach parasite and toxic metal in her system after visiting a kinesiologist. She was subsequently placed on a strict elimination diet, which forbid ever eating soy again.
"I’m allergic to soy. No more soy sauce. How am I ever going to eat sushi again?" she complained. "And the parasite is feeding off of dairy, pork and obviously gelatin. So I can’t have those for six weeks."' The diagnosis came just before she celebrated her 30th birthday, meaning she wasn't able to enjoy her favourite foods on the special milestone.
"No dairy, so that means no Tequila Rose at Amesfest. That means no ice cream for me at Amesfest. That means no cupcakes for me at Amesfest," she lamented. "'It means that I am going to have to eat Auntie Claire's vegan treats while everyone else is eating all the party food. I think I'm going to cancel it."
