On a couple's wedding day, as well as being excited to see the happy pair commit to one another, many guests will also be eagerly anticipating that first glimpse of the bride's dress.

We all know that it's traditional for brides to wear white on their big day, but these days people have much more freedom with their ceremony outfits and will opt for unconventional colours and designs.

If you're currently on the hunt for a wedding gown, then it seems there's one specific thing that you should definitely avoid - ribbons sewn on in rather odd places. This is according to people on the internet, after a post on Reddit went viral back in 2018, showing off a rather unfortunately designed wedding dress and because we're living in an era of wedding shaming, the photo has recently resurfaced online.

The image shows a woman in a white dress, which has a brown-coloured ribbon placed right on her bum, that hangs down the back of her legs. The poster captioned the photo, saying: "What every bride wants: a brown ribbon streaming out of her a**."

More than 100 people left a comment on the post, with someone branding the dress "crappy". One person said: "Crappy design. Literally." While another wrote: "The entire dress is just poorly executed."

"Oh my.. the thumbnail looks like she s*** herself. How unfortunate," added a third, as others suggested that the bow might be a slightly better colour if you saw it in person. They said: "It probably looked more bronze/copper/gold in real life."

Someone else shared this thought: "At first I thought, 'well maybe its just the filter on that photo that makes the ribbon look brown, maybe that ribbon is actually red.' Then it dawned on me that a red ribbon in that location would not be much better."
