Big Brother viewers stunned as Chanelle asks if 'Cleopatra is alive'
Big Brother fans couldn't believe the bizarre moment Chanelle asked housemates if Cleopatra, the Queen of the Ptolemaic Kingdom of Egypt, was "still alive".
Despite her death in 30 BC, dental therapist Chanelle couldn't quite understand who the "father-loving goddess" was during Friday's double eviction instalment on ITV. It's the second time the housemate has asked hilarious questions, first sparking concern after her conversation about the "two moons" earlier in the series.
It was during a conversation with Olivia and Jenkin that Chanelle asked if Cleopatra was still around after learning about Katy Perry's outfit inspiration. Fans flocked to X, formally Twitter, to rant about the dentist from Llanelli, Wales.
One wrote: "Sorry but I wouldn’t let Chanelle anywhere near my teeth, first the moon, now Cleopatra?" While another penned: "Hold on, Chanelle thinks there are 2 moons and that Cleopatra is alive??? She needs to enroll in Night School, not Big Brother."

While a fourth commented: "Chanelle asking if Cleopatra is a beauty queen and if she’s still alive seems way too fake to me. Don’t believe for a second that she literally had no idea who Cleopatra was. All for cameras."

Another replied: "Chanelle is so funny without trying," while someone else concluded: "Is she still alive? Chanelle omg you are funny."
Big Brother took an awkward turn last night during Thursday's Late and Live spin-off show as panicked producers pulled the plug on the house livestream after accidentally airing an explosive argument between the contestants. Host Will Best cut to a live feed from the ITV2 house where it quickly showed an argument taking place.
Will said: "Do you know what? I'm going to give you a little treat... let's have a look at what they're doing live right now. At first, it appeared silent in the house as he joked: "Not much is the answer!" but soon Trish could be heard accusing someone of being a "bully".
Trish shouted during the live feed at a mystery housemate, who couldn't be seen: "So you know who you've been bullying, and who you've been attempting to bully. You are a bully! You are a bully! You're a bully and it's not fair!" The audience all shouted: "Ohhhh!" while Will added: "Oh, hang on! Is there an argument going on? Can you hear what they're saying? The word bully is being bandied about! Wow!"
The show's panellists then pointed out that Chanelle, who was sitting on the table observing the row was "breathing heavy", showing that there was a row taking place. Later on the show, Will revealed that they had to cancel the live camera run segment of the show as things were getting "too spicy in the house", encouraging fans to watch on Friday night to see what had been "kicking off".
Meanwhile, the live feed camera, which fans can watch after the spin-off show, was just airing bird noises. Viewers were quick to take to Twitter, now X, to share their speculation with one person writing: "STOP WITH THE B****Y BIRDSONG AND SHOW ME WHO TRISH WAS CALLING A BULLY!!!! #BBUK #BigBrotherUK."
