Indiana Jones and the Dial on Destiny is finally days away from its home premiere. Disney+ has confirmed the fifth and final instalment in the epic franchise will premiere on the streaming platform later this month.

Dial of Destiny – which opened in UK cinemas on June 28 and has grossed more than $380m at the global box office – sees the return of Harrison Ford’s iconic hero on yet another globe-trotting adventure. It follows the titular archaeologist as he fights to keep an ancient dial that could change the course of history out of the wrong hands.

The blockbuster boasts an ensemble cast of new and familiar faces, with Ford starring alongside Fleabag star Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mask of Zorro’s Antonio Banderas, Olivier Award-winner Toby Jones, Narcos’ Boyd Holbrook, and Casino Royale villain Mads Mikkelsen. John Rhys-Davies returns to the franchise as Indy’s old friend, Sallah.

It marks the first Indiana Jones film not directed by Steven Spielberg, with Logan and Ford v Ferrari director James Mangold taking the helm while Spielberg serves as executive producer. Iconic composer John Williams – who has scored each Indy film since the 1981 original – has once again composed the score.

A feature-length documentary which showcases the creation of the legendary archaeologist will also debut simultaneously. Timeless Heroes: Indiana Jones and Harrison Ford explores the Han Solo actor’s enduring appeal and his upbringing, including his foray into the entertainment business, his casting in the Indiana Jones franchise, and the impact and inspiration generated by the films.

It features never-before-seen footage and interviews with Ford, Spielberg, George Lucas, Kathleen Kennedy, James Mangold and many more. So if you’re keen to join Indy for one last adventure, here’s when you can stream Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.

When is Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny coming out on Disney Plus?

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny will launch exclusively on Disney+ on Friday, December 15, alongside its companion documentary. This means Indiana Jones five will be only available to stream with a subscription to Disney+, which now costs as little as £4.99 a month and also includes some Christmas classics like Home Alone, Die Hard, The Nightmare Before Christmas and The Muppets Christmas Carol.

Disney+ members also get access to loads of top Disney content including Star Wars and Marvel. A Disney+ subscription can be cancelled any time, meaning new members could enjoy all its festive offerings throughout the Christmas season and cancel it in the new year.

Customers can also save money by signing up to an annual subscription rather than paying monthly. By paying annually, new members can get the equivalent of 12 months for the price of 10 on Disney+’s Standard or Premium plan, which usually cost £7.99 a month and £10.99 a month respectively.

This gives members access to hit shows like Marvel’s Loki, Star Wars spin-off Ahsoka, and popular reality series The Kardashians and Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story. It also includes hundreds of hours of Disney, Pixar and National Geographic content including Encanto, Lightyear and Limitless with Chris Hemsworth.

Disney+ has also partnered with Samsung to give customers free access when buying eligible devices from a host of tech retailers and mobile providers. Currys customers can pick up the high-spec 43” 4K Ultra HD QLED smart TV for for £499, which includes six months of Disney+ at no extra cost.

EE customers can get Disney+ free for a year when picking up a new Samsung Galaxy S23 handset, with the option of adding Netflix and Apple TV+ to certain plans like the All Rounder. Three mobile customers can also bag a year of Disney+, as well as Paramount+ free for up to two years.

Join Disney+ to stream Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny this Christmas. Alternatively, a host of other blockbusters are available on streaming platforms such as Netflix, including stop-motion sequel Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget and Zack Snyder’s space opera Rebel Moon, which both drop in December.
