Kerry Katona puts tree up early as it's her family's 'last Christmas in the UK'

Kerry Katona has revealed that she skipped Halloween this year and instead, she started celebrating the Christmas holiday early.

The former Atomic Kitten singer, 43, usually puts in a lot of effort for Halloween but she and her family decided to tone it down and focus on the Christmas decorations. In her weekly column, she said she "didn't do anything [for Halloween] this year" and admitted "hosting is a lot of work".

She added that she wanted her Christmas decorations up on November 1. "I can't wait. I'm working all of December so if I put them up then, I won't be at home to enjoy them," she explained. Kerry and her fiancé Ryan Mahoney will be celebrating their last holiday season in England before they move to Marbella.

"I want to be able to really get into the Christmas spirit and feel festive, so I'll spend November doing that. Especially as it'll be our last Christmas before we move to Spain," she wrote for OK! magazine. The star added that she decided to move countries as she feels better "being out there".

Kerry is mum to Molly, 22, Lilly, 20, Heidi, 16, Max, 15, and DJ, nine, and thinks the move to Marbella will be easy as the kids are older. The singer first revealed her and Ryan's plans to move to the sunny country last year. "We will start looking at schools soon to get an idea of what we’re getting into. So much of my work is online now, so it does make sense to think about a new start," she explained.

Meanwhile, Kerry recently said it would be a miracle if she and Ryan had kids. Although Kerry recently revealed that she is in no rush to marry Ryan, with the lovebirds enjoying their life together with the former Atomic Kitten star's five children, Kerry shared her hopes of eloping to Las Vegas and tying the knot with her beau in the iconic US city.

Speaking at the shoot of Getting Lippy, presented by Slingo, Kerry said: "He's lovely. But I'm in no rush to get married. If I'd have met him 15 years ago I would have been bored. I wanted naughty and bad. I didn't know any different. But we've been together for five years and engaged for three – normally at this point, I'm talking to divorce lawyers."

Kerry also opened up about her future baby plans with Ryan as she admitted that if she got pregnant, she would 'go along with it', but she doesn't see it happening for the couple soon. "He's still not taken me up the aisle. If I were to get pregnant, and I'm not trying to, it would be a miracle but I would go along with it. I don't think that's going to happen though," she said.

"I probably am going to get my eggs frozen and we'll p*** off to Las Vegas with just the children to get married," Kerry said. "Ryan's not a 'show-boaty' kind of guy anyway."
