Bradley Walsh lands another TV role - after news he's replacing Lee Mack
TV presenter Bradley Walsh landed yet another major TV role after taking over from Lee Mack as host of the Royal Variety Performance at London's iconic Royal Albert Hall.
Bradley, 63, is a fan-favourite on television so it's no surprise he's fronting yet another show. It has been confirmed he's hosting a brand-new series for Channel 5 called Bradley Walsh: Legends of Comedy - a three-part show focused on celebrating the biggest comedy stars.
He will reflect on their work and the laughter they brought to the public. From sitcoms to stand-ups to double acts, Bradley sets out his all-time comedy legends and puts forward his personal theory as to why the comedians are the best of all time. He interviews friends like Alexander Armstrong, Omid Djalili, Jo Brand, Stephen K Amos, Su Pollard, Alison Steadman and Les Dennis about the comedy greats.
Comedians discussed include the likes of Tommy Cooper, Lee Mack, Victoria Wood, Bob Monkhouse and many more. Bradley also revisits incredible sitcom moments from Hi Di Hi, Blackadder, Absolutely Fabulous and, of course, Dad's Army. The series was commissioned by Guy Davies, Commissioning Editor, Non-Scripted UK Originals, Channel 5 & Paramount+ and will be produced by Honey Bee.
"Having spent the last 40 years of my life working in comedy, it’s been wonderful speaking to some of my favourite people about our favourite comedians who have inspired us throughout our careers," Bradley said. "We have a wealth of comedy talent in the UK and it’s a joy to celebrate them all."

It comes after Bradley was confirmed for The Royal Variety Performance at London's iconic Royal Albert Hall. The show will comprise of a number performances including one from legendary singer Cher, Britain's Got Talent winner Viggo Venn, comedy sketches and theatre productions, in front of members of the Royal family.
The annual live show will also celebrate 100 years of Disney productions which will feature performances from the cast of The Lion King, Frozen, Aladdin, Hercules and Beauty & The Beast. And iconic singer Cher will perform a single from her new Christmas album. Bradley will take over the hosting duties from Not Going Out funnyman Lee Mack who presented the show in 2022.
