Joss Stone has revealed that she and her long-term boyfriend Cody DaLuz have married one another.

The chart-topper admits that they made the decision to marry after receiving an "omen" while she was actually on stage. Joss, 35, and Cody share a daughter Violet, two, and a son Shackleton, one, tied the knot just last week.

Dover-born Joss who now lives in Nashville, confirmed the news during a recent interview and shared how she and Cody rapidly came to the conclusion that they should seal their love for one another. But while marriage may not have been on the cards prior to a performance in The Time Traveller Wife, the production certainly hit home for Joss.

Speaking to 5 News, she said to director Bill Buckhurst: "Ok, I'll tell you something magical, really truly. You know when she throws the flowers at the end?" to which he responded: "Did they go to you?" Joss revealed: "They came to me and I almost reached out for them to catch the flowers - this is when she gets married and they do the whole thing and that's the end of the first act - and they sort of fell down here and there was an empty seat - the only empty seat in the whole place. And no one went to pick them up and I was like, well they were for me! So I picked them up and everyone was like, yay!!! Anyway, I went home to Nashville and we got married last Thursday."

She went on to add: "I thought it was a good omen!" Her amazing news comes just after the couple explained that they had started the process of adopting a child in a bid to expand their family. Speaking about the process, she told Hello! Magazine: "We're trying to do our home study. I hope we get to do it. I want, like, 25 kids."

Famed for her hits including You Had Me, the multi-platinum-selling singer-songwriter previously opened up about her difficult birth with her daughter. Violet was in breach which meant that Joss was forced to have a C-section, fortunately, they were both healthy.

However, giving birth to Shackleton was also exhausting, lasting 32 hours. At the time, she was warned that because she'd had a C-section before there was a low chance of a uterine rupture.

The singer said that after hours of attempting to birth Shackleton traditionally, she felt intense pain and that she heard her baby's heartbeat starting to go down. The obstetric emergency team were summoned due to the rupture, Joss was unaware at the time but her uterus had split open and her son's head was stuck in her abdomen.

She said: "You only know it's happened because the baby's heart rate plummets, and at that point, the doctors only have around 14 minutes to get your baby out alive."
