Nate Diaz has been accused of "weaseling out" of a $15million offer to fight Jake Paul in MMA.

UFC legend Diaz was dropped and defeated in his boxing debut when he fought YouTube star Paul in August. 'The Problem Child' claimed that Diaz agreed to rematch him in MMA after their fight, but the 38-year-old has since demanded a second fight takes place in a ring instead of a cage.

PFL founder Donn Davis is hoping to make a fight between Paul and Diaz for the YouTuber's pay-per-view debut in the promotion. Diaz's prize money for his loss against Paul is unclear, but it's safe to assume the $15million he is being offered to rematch his rival in the cage would be a career-high payday.

"If we could ever put together Jake vs. Nate, if Nate would stop weaseling out and complaining about an MMA fight with Jake,” Davis said on The MMA Hour. “Something like that to put the mind of Jake Pau, creatively, against the technology available. Wow. So, it’s not just about the spectacle of the circle. That’s ten percent of it. The creative technology of the graphics and the engagement and the immersion is 90 percent.

"You need to put creative minds against it Not just a great event. I respect Nate because he’s the people’s champ. He’s a man’s man. He’s standup as all standup, but he said I’ll do it in the PFL Smart Cage after the fight [with Paul]. He’s got a standing offer between $10-15 million and he’s hiding behind a rock. Biggest payday of his life. He gets beat by Jake and he’s hiding behind a rock.”

Paul is scheduled to make his ring return on December 15 when he will compete away from pay-per-view for the first time since January 2020. The YouTuber thinks Diaz isn't willing to fight him in MMA because the risk of losing to a debutant is potentially damaging to his legacy in the sport.

"I tried to fight Nate, we tried everything, He was just making such big requests behind the scenes. I think it's too big of a risk [for him]. Ok it's $10million but if he loses to me, it's like legacy. He is going to get made fun of. He felt my power and I don't think he will be able to take me down, so he couldn't submit me," Paul said on the Full Send podcast.
