A travel-loving woman has revealed the dramatic transformation of a dusty white van that now allows her and her partner to travel and work across Hawaii in style.

The self-converted adventure van now boasts a whole host of space-saving features, as well as little luxuries including a movie theatre (with projector and pull-down screen) and style-savvy mini succulent garden, with owner Mileena (@bohomeena) showcasing the finished project to her 670,000 TikTok fans.

Mileena said: ”With almost no experience, it took us three months to convert this from a dusty work van to our little paradise on wheels. Side note, we have an apartment and do not live in this van. I say this so it is clear that we are not encouraging van life in Hawaii, as it is not allowed," she clarified.

During the TikTok tour, Milenna showcases how the duo uses the van for camping trips and as an office space when needed, welcoming viewers into the van via the 'front lawn' (a strip of AstroTurf) that leads into their ‘paradise on wheels'.

With a swivel seat added at the front for relaxation, the couple also repainted the dashboard, adding velvet to the steering wheel, before incorporating a wooden area to house a mini succulent garden, helping to bring a little bit of the outside, in.

Towards the back of the van, the couple incorporated a mini-fridge and a four-shelf, floor-to-ceiling closet (which also houses a power strip for electronic devices) also integrating a wooden, clip-up table in the kitchen area. There is also a deep, full-size sink with brass taps (and extendable, removable nozzle hose), with under-sink space for 10 gallons of water and a high-pressure pump. "The sink also acts as our mini outdoor shower," she said during the tour.

As well as a storage area for food, pots, and pans the pair also added a hidden, marble-effect, slide-out work desk, enabling them to work 'on the go’, or to use as a dining table, with food cooked on their camping stove on an additional wooden clip-up table towards the back of the van.

There are also 11 soft-close drawers, with the couch serving a dual purpose, sliding out and converting into a full-size bed (the cushions boast a breathable mesh on one side for sleeping). Milenna hand-made magnetic window covers for additional privacy, or for watching movies in their in-van movie theatre.

The well-insulated van also contains a powerful fan to keep things nice and cool, with solar panels on the top of the roof powering everything within.

The pragmatic project ignited praise from their followers, with one saying: “Omg finally I have found the exact build I want thank you so much!”, while another praised the project as ‘smart as hell and so conservable.”
