Adele was tearful when she interrupted her Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace on Saturday night, after seeing the doctor who delivered her son among the audience.

The 35-year-old singer was dressed as Morticia Addams as she celebrated Halloween in her latest gig of her residency and while she was singing When We Were Young from her album 25, she suddenly stopped and clambered into the audience to embrace one of those watching her show.

Adele burst into tears when she saw the familiar face and told the rest of the audience that it was the doctor who delivered her 10-year-old son Angelo, who she shares with ex-husband Simon Konecki. The London-born singer was midway through her heartbreaking ballad, during the 33rd weekend of her residency, when she began mouthing "shut up" between lines as her eyes met those of the doctor.

She eventually stopped singing and exclaimed as she ran into the audience: "Oh my god, Colin! Oh my god! This is my doctor that gave birth to my baby! I haven't seen you for years!" As she threw her arms around the doctor, her band continued to play the tune as fans caught the emotional moment on their mobile phones. Adele then apologised to her fans for the impromptu interruption, telling them: "Sorry! Will you sing it for me? That man delivered my baby!"

The emotional moment comes after the Rolling In The Deep singer admitted to fans that she was "a bit jealous" of her friends who have been dating online, despite her being in a relationship with 44-year-old sports agent, Rich Paul. She told the audience in a previous gig that some of her friends are finding romance on dating apps and she has felt left out of that experience.

Not that this is an issue for Adele as she says she's now with the "love of my life" who she met "the old-school way". Opening up to the audience, the singer said: "I get a bit jealous. I never really got to do online dating as it became a thing after I was famous. I am with the love of my life, I'm obsessed with him. We met the old-school way. But sometimes I do wish I'd had that courtship online."

The pair have been dating for a couple of years and went public in July 2021, when they were seen sitting courtside of an NBA game. For the past year, the Grammy winning singer has been wearing a pear-shaped diamond ring on her left finger but there hasn't been any official confirmation that they have got engaged, just yet.
