John Fury was held back by security and vowed to fight Mike Tyson if his heavyweight champion son Tyson loses to Francis Ngannou.

Ngannou makes his ring debut against Tyson this Saturday as the pair kick off Riyadh season in Saudi Arabia. John was the loudest man in the room at their press conference on Thursday as he screamed compliments about his son and dismissed any chance of Ngannou pulling off an upset.

"Let me tell you my brother, the world is gonna see what is going to happen to your man," John told Tyson. "He will get his head boxed off and stopped at will my pal, don't worry about that.

"If I'm wrong, me and you will fight straight after. Me and the great Mike. Whatever the outcome, me and you will fight. Get up there my brother.

"Give me a special mention, the man who bred him. John Fury, fears no man on earth. No matter what they've done, no matter what the accolades. John Fury only fears one person and he's not even of this world, that's God almighty. Here I am, any man alive wants to fight John Fury, I'm here ready to go."

John, who named his son after 'Iron Mike', was unsurprisingly respectful of the youngest heavyweight champion in history but that didn't stop him from taking aim at Ngannou's other coach Dewey Cooper. The credentials of Cooper, a former world champion kickboxer who is now a main trainer at Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas, were called into question by John.

"Who's that talking now? Who are you by the way, who is this man? Who is he, a cartoon character? Mr nobody, where are you from? Mike, does anybody know who this guy is? Ngannou can't beat me pal and I'm useless," he said. "Let me tell you, I'm here pal. There is nobody s*****ng themselves here, don't underestimate John Fury."

John then bizarrely tried to get involved in the face-off at the end of the press conference by taking his own t-shirt off and staring off with Ngannou. The former UFC champion stayed respectful despite John's questionable actions by telling the 59-year-old he only wants to fight his son and not him.
