Mike Tyson and John Fury agree to boxing fight - on one condition
Mike Tyson and John Fury have agreed to fight on Saturday night after Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou - presuming the MMA fighter pulls off the upset.
The former world heavyweight champion, after whom the current title holder was named, is in the corner of underdog Ngannou for this weekend's bout. And despite the 59-year-old Fury having a clear admiration and respect for 'Iron Mike' he has been angling for a fight with his 57-year-old idol for years.
And during a press conference that purported to be about this weekend's Fury vs Ngannou fight in Riyadh, the self-admitted former 'journeyman' fighter managed to make things about himself at key moments with his jibes towards Tyson. The ex-champion attempted to redirect focus towards his charge, but couldn't do much to regale his foe.
"I'm honoured and proud to be alive and to be in this great place of Saudi," Fury began. "And I'm sat in the company of these great people, Mike Tyson on the end who I named my son after, I named my son Tyson. But you know what? Give me a special mention, the man who bred him.
"John Fury fears no man, no man on earth no matter what they've done, no matter what the accolades. John Fury only fears one person and he's not even of this world and that's God Almighty. Here I am, any man alive wants to fight John Fury, I'm ready to go, Mike Tyson what have you got to say to that my brother?"

At first when it came to me I said 'there's no way this is going to happen'. Then I watched him [Ngannou] spar and he hit this guy, I don't know what sparring partner, some white guy.

"He hit him and not only did he hit him but he broke his ankle when he went down and I said 'hey man, there's a possibility that something good can happen here."
Fury then took issue, telling Tyson: "Let me tell you my brother, the world is going to see what's going to happen with your man. Your man is going to be getting his head boxed off and stopped at will, my pal. Don't you worry about that, and if I'm wrong me and you will fight straight after. When we're done, me and you will fight."
Tyson laughed at the suggestion but cheered an emphatic "Yeah," before adding "All day, baby". He later claimed that Fury "has been chasing me for 40 years."
