Coronation Street's Aadi left reeling over new Courtney bombshell

Coronation Street is set for explosive scenes next week as Aadi Alahan's world comes crashing down over a new Courtney Vance bombshell.

Soap watchers will recall that Aadi and Courtney embarked on an affair earlier this year but it was soon rumbled in dramatic scenes with Courtney's husband, Darren, filing for divorce. Meanwhile, Aadi's father, Dev Alahan, was left disappointed with his son, especially as the affair could have ruined a huge business deal for the family.

In upcoming episodes, it appears there could be trouble in paradise when Aadi is left reeling over a piece of Courtney news. In the scenes, Aadi reveals he's been offered a job shelf stacking at Freshco and to celebrate he invites sister Asha and Nina Lucas over for afternoon tea, leaving Courtney feigning enthusiasm.

However, the sweet gesture doesn't go to plan as Courtney is a no show while Asha is running late. Not wanting to waste food, Aadi and Nina tuck in but they're soon taken aback by the arrival of Darren, who has news from Courtney, which leaves Aadi's world crashing down.

Later in the week, Aadi calls in the café in his Freshco uniform and tells Nina that he plans to earn enough money so that he can support Courtney to which Nina masks her concern. Elsewhere, back at the precinct flat, Courtney waits for Aadi. What is Courtney's news and could it be trouble for the new couple?

It comes as this week's episodes see Aadi apologise to Asha for their row. But sensing that he’s unhappy, Asha suggests they meet up in Speed Daal later. Over their meal, Aadi tells Asha how miserable Courtney is living in a poky flat and how she deserves better after her lavish lifestyle with Darren.

However, Asha has an idea as she and Aadi set about redecorating the precinct flat. Later in the week, Aadi persuades a reluctant Courtney to accompany him to the Freshco recruitment day, pointing out that with two lots of wages coming in, they could live somewhere a lot better. As they get ready to leave, Courtney tells Aadi she feels sick and that he will have to go it alone.
