It's game that Manchester United and Rasmus Hojlund dare not lose - and the Danish striker won't just be motivated by the prospect of keeping his team's Champions League hopes alive.

Erik ten Hag's side are staring down the barrel of a group stage exit after their 4-3 loss in Bayern Munich was followed by an arguably more damaging 3-2 home defeat by Galatasaray. Hojlund was on the scoresheet in both those fixtures, showing flashes of the potential that persuaded Ten Hag to pay Atalanta £72million for his services.

And United's European fate could well now be decided by Hojlund, but not necessarily the one in red. Twin brothers Oscar and Emil will be travelling to Manchester this week with the Danish Superliga champions, with family bragging rights as well as vital points up for grabs for the siblings.

The pair have followed the path of their 20-year-old brother, who spent two years at Copenhagen before moving to Sturm Graz and then Serie A. And Oscar and Emil, 18, could now join Rasmus in making history as the first trio of brothers to appear in the same Champions League game.

Oscar will almost certainly be in the squad for the visitors, although could be confined to the bench with the midfielder having made just two senior appearances this season. Striker Emil is more likely to see game time in the afternoon in the UEFA Youth League clash between the club at Leigh Sports Village, but has appeared in two Champions League squads in this campaign.

And the twins have been tipped to one day eclipse the Man United striker. Christian Mouroux, sporting director of Horsholm Usserod Idraetsklub (HUI) where the trio started their careers, has kept a close eye on all three players.

HAVE YOUR SAY! Will Rasmus Hojlund be a success at Man Unite? Comment below.

"A lot of people who have met all three think the two younger brothers are at least as talented as Rasmus," he said, via he Manchester Evening News . "All of them have been very well advanced compared to the average, but the two younger brothers were, compared to Rasmus at the same age, in front of him."

Reiterating that view, he added: "In my opinion, if you’re talking about pure talent, I would go to the length of maybe saying the two little brothers have a slight competitive advantage."

Copenhagen will kick-off at Old Trafford with a point to their name this far, one more than their hosts. Bayern lead the way having won both of their opening games, with Galatasaray on four following that dramatic win over the Premier League side.
