Primark shoppers rave about £2 light they 'need' to transform their kitchens

If you're fed up with your old kitchen, you might be fantasising about ways to upgrade it - but it will likely involve spending a lot of money. But it turns out you don't need to fork out on a fortune just to improve your home.

Whilst many of us rely on popular retailer Primark mainly for wardrobe staples at affordable prices, it also boasts an incredible home section, where shoppers can pick up many bargains. One particular inexpensive product left shoppers gobsmacked when it went viral last year. Taking to popular video-streaming service TikTok, a woman revealed how the then-£1.50 item made "such a difference" to her home.

One thing that can really elevate your kitchen is having built-in lighting underneath the kitchen cabinets, but it can cost a small fortune. However, mum Victoria found a cheap alternative in Primark which was just as sufficient. She purchased the store's indoor strip lights that she simply stuck underneath her cupboards - and you'd never know they were so cheap.

As with most things, the cost of living crisis has forced prices to surge, so the product now costs £2 from Primark's website and in-store, but it's still ideal for a quick-fix to transform your kitchen. And as energy prices continue to surge, this will help keep your bills down long-term.

Captioning the post, the mum wrote: "Electric bill is high enough." In the video, which has surpassed a whopping 140,000 views since posting, she explained: "I got these in Primark today for £1.50! They're these strip LED lights and you just stick them on and they've got a battery, so you can turn them on and off.

They literally make such a difference to my kitchen. Stepping back to admire the work, she exclaimed: "Look! Oh my God, you need to go and get these!"

Taking to the comment section, fellow TikTokers gushed over Victoria's incredible find - with some keen to rush into store to purchase themselves. One person wrote: "O my god I need." "They are sooooo class I love them!! so cosy," Victoria added.

A third added: "Wow I’ll be there first thing tomorrow morning thanks love xx." A different user suggested: "Perfect inside a wardrobe too." "Put them under the bottom cupboard... I love mine," another suggested. A sixth admitted: "I need these.... Thank you."
