Strictly Come Dancing's Adam Thomas fears a 'difficult' live performance this weekend and says it's his hardest dance yet.

The determined actor and partner Luba Mushtuk will be performing a Couple's Choice to a Backstreet Boys medley on Saturday night and he's in no mood to talk things up. Adam candidly says he is finding it more challenging than the rest - but saying it's getting a little less worrying nearer showtime.

The 35-year-old revealed on earlier this week that he'd fallen ill and was forced to miss a day of rehearsal as well as a day on the set of Waterloo Road. The set-back came after what all the judges described as his best dance of the series so far as rocketed up the leaderboard following his Waltz last time out.

Speaking about their preparation on Thursday's instalment of It Takes Two, Adam eased worries that there could be a hard night ahead by saying they are "getting there" but was clear about how tough this routine actually is. He says he's alone a lot in the dance and that makes things harder.

"It was quite daunting at first because normally it's like just me and Luba in the room going through the routine," he said. "So there was like three or four of us in the room on the Monday and everyone was trying to teach me the routine.

"It was a lot to take in, but I feel this is possibly one of the hardest routines I've had so far, probably because I am on my own quite a lot. Normally I have Luba's support but for this one, I am on my own quite a lot throughout the dance.

"I am finding it a little bit more difficult than the rest but we are getting there - we are getting there." Luba, 33, added: "It's really entertaining, it's the most entertaining dance we have done so far, so I think people will love it."

Speaking on Wednesday, a downbeat Adam admitted he was still not quite himself after making a return to the rehearsal studio. Speaking to the camera in a post on his Instagram, Thomas told his one million followers: "Thank you for your get-well messages, it really means a lot.

"Obviously not feeling the best today, although a bit better than I was yesterday... But yeah, the show must go on," Thomas continued before he revealed the repercussions that being taken ill has had on his preparations.
