Manchester United loanee Sergio Reguilon has picked his dream five-a-side team without naming a single Old Trafford star.

The full-back moved to United in the summer as they sought defensive cover but has failed to pick a single man who wore red in his ideal team. He did though name Manchester City legend David Silva, in what was an all-Spanish line-up as he backed his compatriots.

Silva helped City win numerous Premier League titles, scoring in the iconic humiliation at Old Trafford that saw United ship six against their rivals. The playmaker eventually left English soil in 2020 after a decade at the Etihad, spending three years back in his homeland before retiring.

Reguilon didn't opt for a goalkeeper in his team with the only defensive-minded player being Sergio Ramos. The Real Madrid great won four Champions League titles with Los Blancos, scoring crucial goals in two finals whilst also excelling on the international stage.

He, like all five members of Reguilon's team, are World Cup and European Championship winners, owing to Spain's dominance between 2008 and 2012. Ramos is now back at Sevilla, where his career started before Real came calling.

Xavi and Andres Iniesta were Reguilon's picks in midfield with the Barcelona duo widely regarded among the finest footballers of all-time. They were the engine room of Pep Guardiola's dominant Barcelona side, which twice beat United in European Cup finals.

Sir Alex Ferguson's team couldn't compete with the Catalans, who put in one of the great final displays at Wembley in 2011. The Scot poured praise on the duo as he said: “It wasn't really Messi who was the problem. It was Iniesta and Xavi. They can keep the ball all night long.” Lionel Messi has previously declared Xavi the "best player in the history of Spanish football."

David Villa completes Reguilon's five-a-side outfit with the former Valencia and Barcelona forward enjoying a trophy-laden career. He became Spain's all-time leading goalscorer and was prolific at Euro 2008 and the World Cup two years later.

Ex-striker Villa was also part of Barcelona's 2011 side, scoring the third goal against United at Wembley to seal their Champions League triumph.
