Coleen Rooney's highly anticipated Disney+ documentary series has finally arrived, along with some huge bombshells.

The mum-of-four has been in the spotlight since she was just a teenager thanks to her relationship with footballer Wayne Rooney. However, it has not always been easy for Coleen as the couple faced cheating allegations over the years as well as a huge court case against fellow WAG Rebekah Vardy. She has bravely given an inside look at her life in the public eye over the past twenty years.

The series tells the story of Coleen's life from her own perspective as well as from those closest to her. There have been many explosive revelations from the series, including her warning to Wayne, her parents dislike towards her husband and how she uncovered Rebekah Vardy was leaking stories to the press. Here is a look into those huge bombshells.

Brutal admission to Wayne

Coleen laid bare her marriage problems and even confessed to telling husband Wayne "I just can't carry on with this". Things came to a peak for the couple in 2017 when Coleen was left "heartbroken" after Wayne was pictured in a car with Laura Simpson following a boozy night out. He was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving while Coleen was on holiday with their children and her parents.

Coleen said: "I was in the airport and I got a phone call and it was Wayne. I just said what's gone on? Straightaway you don't get much out of him. You don't get a lot of information. It was just sickening. I've had that feeling in my stomach a few times and I would never wish anyone to feel that. You do think, do I actually know this person, when things like that happen. Y'know, 'You're not the person I married and the person I want you to be.'

"He just said, 'I'm sorry I'm sorry'. And I said well, 'You can't be sorry because you know it's wrong what you've done' and I just kept saying you're stupid, you are just so stupid." Coleen added: "I was just heartbroken. I just said I can't stay in the house and I went and stayed in my mum's with the children."

Coleen confessed: "Me and Wayne were talking it all through. Wayne wanted it to all go back to normal but it wasn't as easy as that. I was still mad and I just didn't know what the future was for us as a couple. I said to him 'I just can't carry on with this'. I know Wayne as a person and I know his qualities and I know his downfalls. Them moments where I think I don't know him, are when he's been drinking. And that's when he is a totally different person."

Parents dislike

In the series, Coleen's mum Colette McLoughlin declared that she "doesn't like Wayne". It came following the footballer's cheating scandal with Laura Simpson that resulted in Wayne issuing a grovelling apology to both Coleen and her parents. Colette said: "As parents you don't want your daughter to be going through that. You're mad, you're angry. All you wants to do is protect her. She was speaking to Wayne who's trying to sort things out. I love him but sometimes I don't like him. I feel like shaking him. He's hurt Coleen and that's what matters."

Discussing Wayne's behaviour at the time, Coleen's mum Colette added: "Wayne apologised to us, to Coleen, and then again it was up to her what she wanted to do. We said to her we will stick by you whatever you choose. We will stick by you." After the incident, Wayne's "party girl" Laura claimed the pair kissed and cuddled and made several public appearances detailing her version of events. Coleen was four months pregnant at the time.

Betrayal and calculated plan

At the time of the Laura Simpson affair scandal, Coleen posted a message on her private Instagram account. The information was leaked despite her deleting the post after a few hours. Coleen then went to Barbados with her children to spend some time apart from Wayne and think things through. More information continued to leak from her account, including when she came home and decided to move back in.

When news of the reunion made it into The Sun, Coleen was furious. She said: "I posted another warning to say please stop. I felt betrayed. It was sly." But it was only when a few more things leaked that she decided Vardy could be to blame. Coleen said: "Out of them 300 odd people there was only one account that stood out and that was Rebekah Vardy's account. I had to think of some sort of trap."

Coleen posted fake stories which only Rebekah could see, including one about gender selection where she said she was looking into trying to have a baby girl, despite Wayne having had a vasectomy. The story later appeared in The Sun newspaper. Discussing how the idea came about, Coleen said: "I had heard about this procedure where you could choose the gender of your baby but it is something I have never considered doing. I was going to Mexico with the kids for the Easter holidays. So I came up with the idea of doing a story about going to Mexico to find out some information about Gender selection, for me to have a girl. I thought about what information I was going to use. I wanted to do a story with no truth whatsoever."

Trial implications and money fears

When discussing winning the trial, Coleen confessed: "I couldn't process it. It was...I swore and that was the only thing I did. I just swore and I I teared up and it just didn't sink in. Straight away my phone started pinging and messages started to come through. It was a pathetic reason to go to court. I wish we could have settled it. I wanted to settle it. The money was absolutely ridiculous and I might not get all the money back."

"But for me, getting justice for telling the truth is the most important thing. I feel like a massive weight has been lifted. From when the first Instagram post went in the paper to the court case it must be four and a half years. I can now focus on everything that's important to me."

Wayne's surprising career dream

Wayne became so obsessed during his wife Coleen's legal trial that he considered signing up to law school. He supported Coleen throughout the high profile case and even began to speak up in the daily debrief sessions. In a surprising confession, Coleen's lawyer Jamie Hurworth said: "Once the day was finished we would have a little debrief with Wayne and Coleen. I had not dealt with Wayne that much before the trial. But he was just fascinated by the whole thing.

"Wayne started suggesting, like, legal argument that we should start running." Coleen's lead lawyer Paul Lunt added: "I'm not saying he is a modern day Columbo but certainly had we have given him a gown and a wig he was bang up for asking a few questions." For his part, Wayne admitted he was fascinated by his days in the High Court. He said: "Yeah, it was interesting because I do like crime documentaries and in particular the different techniques the two barristers used."

However, Coleen was less impressed when Wayne got involved in the debrief meetings. "I just said 'Wayne shut up and let David or Paul speak'," Coleen recalled. Laughing she added: "He was then going to apply for law school and he had all these plans. But them little moments carried us through."

Mental health

Coleen admitted her high profile trial made her "ill". She revealed: "It completely changed me as a character. I remember sitting with my dad one day, we took Klay to football and he just looked at me and said 'Coleen, you're just not you anymore. You're sick. It was horrible because it didn't want to be around people. And that's not me at all. And I was snappy at the kids. I just hated trying to be happy. And I'm a happy person and I could see people were concerned. It was just constantly on my mind."

"While other times have been heartbreaking and upsetting, this was stressful. It caused anxiety and there were a lot of tears. I have reactive arthritis, and I’ve had it previously, but this situation brought it on a lot more than what I’ve had before. It stripped me of me, of my character, and I just didn’t want to socialise with people at all. I was completely in my own world."

Family heartbreak

Coleen broke down in tears as she opened up about her sister Rosie for the first time. She died aged 14 in 2013 after a lifelong battle with the rare brain disorder Rett syndrome - which causes severe disabilities. Coleen's parents adopted Rosie when she was two-years-old. In tears Coleen added: "To lose a child is the worst thing that could ever happen to anyone.

"But when you look back now, she gave us so many good years of happiness and love." Coleen added: "Because of the things that have happened to my life, I try and be strong for others. I don't want people worrying about me when they've got their own worries in life. But sometimes I can crack."

Wayne's snip key to Wagatha plot

In the Disney+ series, Coleen shares how Wayne's secret vasectomy played key role in Wagatha case and getting to the bottom of who was leaking stories to The Sun. Discussing how the idea to hide all but from Rebekah's account from her Instagram Stories came about, Coleen said: "After the birth of every one of my kids, the press are always interested in whether I was ever going to have another baby.

"The big question is always would you like a girl. I always thought I would have a few kids, maybe three at the most and then number four came along and we knew our family was complete. Me and Wayne talked about him having a vasectomy. He said after this baby 'that's it we are not having anymore'. And Wayne went in and got the snip, so I knew for sure we would not be having anymore children."

Explaining the planted story for Vardy she added: "I had heard about this procedure where you could choose the gender of your baby but it is something I have never considered doing. I was going to Mexico with the kids for the Easter holidays. So I came up with the idea of doing a story about going to Mexico to find out some information about Gender selection, for me to have a girl. I thought about what information I was going to use. I wanted to do a story with no truth whatsoever."

Public outing

In the series Coleen explains why she chose to expose Rebekah so publicly rather than first contact the WAG and confront her with her suspicions. "I was angry," the Scouse star says. "I thought, ‘I’ve had enough of this. I’m going to do something about it.’ Part of me wanted to say something there and then, but the way it had been done to me, it was so sneaky. It was cheeky. No one had come to me to say, ‘We’re going to give this information to the press, are you OK about that?’"

She continued: "I’d warned time and time again to stop doing this to me, but they never. I didn’t pick up the phone to Rebekah because she’d never respected me in that way, and she’d deny it and make a story out of that. I didn’t want to give her the opportunity to do that.

"She’d done it too many times to me. I felt the only way I could do this was to put it on social media give it to everyone at the one time and put a stop to it. I’d started writing some words of what I was gonna say. As a bit of a hint to Rebekah Vardy, to say, ‘I’ve found you out,’ I put a quote on my Instagram saying, ‘Don’t play games with a girl who can play better.’"
