Real Madrid 'send scouts' to watch Jobe Bellingham amid brother Jude's form

Jude Bellingham might have the world at his feet right now - but his place at Real Madrid could soon be under threat from teenage brother Jobe.

Bellingham Snr has taken Spain by storm thus far, scoring eight goals in as many La Liga appearances. The 20-year-old has also struck twice in the Champions League, and is boasting the same numbers as Cristiano Ronaldo did at that exact stage of his Real career.

Indeed, Bellingham has been adjudged his club's player of the month in both August and September, whilst the ex-Borussia Dortmund man is also flourishing at international level. His commanding display in the 3-1 win in Scotland last month saw him lauded by the likes of Graeme Souness, who said the midfielder "has the physical attributes and technical ability of Zinedine Zidane."

Brother Jobe meanwhile, has scored twice for Sunderland after his summer move from Birmingham City. And he too has been representing his country, playing twice this month for England Under-19s.

He shone for the Young Lions in their 0-0 draw with Montenegro last Wednesday night, with highlights of the game duly being shared on social media. And there was widespread praise for Bellingham Jnr from fans, with his ability of the ball mirroring that of brother Jude.

According to Spanish media outlet El Nacional the display was witnessed by scouts from the Bernabeu. President Florentino Perez reportedly asked Juni Calafat, his chief scout, to assemble a team to send to Podgorica, specifically to watch the 18-year-old.

And Perez is seemingly keen to bring the budding star to Los Blancos to play alongside his sibling. He was in action again on Saturday, coming off the bench in the 1-1 draw with Wales Under-19s, leaving England third in their European qualification group after two matches.

The prospect of another Bellingham at Real is likely to strike fear into La Liga opponents, given the impact of Jude so far. And he's set to play another pivotal role for Gareth Southgate on Tuesday when England host Italy at Wembley.

A draw will be enough to secure England's place in Euro 2024. Bellingham has already appeared in two major international tournaments, scoring his first goal for his country in the win over Iran at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
