Courteney Cox has confessed that she regrets getting fillers whilst discussing the "pressure" to look youthful.

The Friends star, 59, opened up about her life in a newly-released interview, where she admitted that feeling the pressure to look youthful in the showbiz industry led to her undergoing the cometic procedure on several occasions.

However, Courteney - who has previously spoken about having her facial fillers dissolved - feels it was a mistake to have undergone such cosmetic work. She even described it as a "total waste of time" whilst discussing her experience.

Speaking to Woman Magazine she said: "My biggest beauty regret is fillers. There's so much pressure to stay looking young in this industry that once you start, it becomes a bit of a domino effect and you keep on having more. To the rest of the world your face is so obviously changing, but to yourself - because you're only having one procedure at a time - you don't notice."

Admitting she wished she had resisted the urge and not given in to perceived industry standards, the actor then called the procedures a "waste of time." Courteney continued: "It was a total waste of time and I wish I hadn’t caved into the pressure of having it."

Courteney - who's acting credits also include the Scream film series - was asked during the interview what she would do if she was invisible for a day. She responded by saying that she would go to spa with her daughter Coco Arquette, 19, whom she shares with her ex-husband David Arquette, 52.

She told the outlet that her and Coco "love" going on spa days together, describing it as "precious time" for them. She added that it would be "lovely" to go and for "nobody to know" who she was, even if just for a day.

The actor also shared that she once had a crush on Jim Carrey, now 61, whom she worked with on the film Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (1994). Courteney said that whilst she appreciates a "handsome man," she's "more attracted to talent".

She told the outlet that she remembers "crushing" on Jim - who starred alongside her and is credited among the film's writers - whilst working on the project. Courteney said it was because he was "just so insanely talented and funny".

Courteney's interview comes after she celebrated her tenth anniversary with her partner Johnny McDaid last month. She marked the occasion with a post on Instagram. The caption simply read: "10 years!!!" with a black heart emoji. But there was a surprise appearance from someone - singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran. The video was set to Ed's song Shape of You.

It started with a photo of Courteney and Ed. The words on the screen read: "10 years ago this guy introduced me to this guy," and the picture changed to one of Ed and Johnny. The rest of the video was filled with a photo slideshow of Courteney and Johnny, both silly and casually posed photos.
