Lorraine Kelly and Emma Bunton were among a host of famous faces who attended the Women of the Year Awards today.

The not-for-profit organisation aims to recognise, celebrate and advance the achievements of women throughout the UK and the world. The annual bash was hosted by TV presenter and former Bake Off host Mel Giedroyc, who also oversaw proceedings at the prestigious event last year.

Leading the glamorous arrivals at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London at the ceremony today, which celebrates 400 women from across the UK, who have achieved remarkable things, was Scottish presenter, Lorraine Kelly. The seasoned star, who has presented her ITV chat show since 2010, looked gorgeous sporting a crushed blue velvet dress with elbow-length sleeves.

Lorraine is one of the most well-known faces on TV and is a huge fan of the WOTYA, attending last year where she was delighted to give out a Trailblazer award. Joining the mum-of-one at the ceremony today was Spice Girl, Emma Bunton, who looked delighted to be among her famous pals, wearing a snazzy floral frock with a thigh-high split and elevated shoulder pads, giving a whole new meaning to power dressing.

She was joined by Countdown Queen, Rachel Riley. Rachel, who looked fabulous sporting a black glittery sleeveless frock and stiletto. Rachel was awarded an MBE for services to Holocaust Education in the 2022 New Year Honours List. As part of her work to raise awareness of antisemitism and holocaust education, the mum-of-two has visited Auschwitz and has met with Holocaust survivors as well as Jewish leadership groups.

Joining Rachel was Radio DJ, Jo Whiley. Sporting a beautiful green metallic frock, she teamed the eye-catching dress with a pair of bronze leather platform shoes as she smiled for the cameras on the red carpet at the buzzing event.

Speaking about the importance of the ceremony last year, Lorraine - who has been attending the Women of the Year Awards for the past 20 years – said it gives her "hope" and "optimism", which we need "now more than ever".

"We need optimism, we need to have things to aspire to. I think that is really important. And that’s why this event is so good," she told Virgin Radio. On the impact the recipients have on her, the seasoned presenter – who handed out the Trailblazer award in 2022 – added: "You do go away from here, thinking I’ve got to do more, because you’re so inspired by everything around you, and all the different projects that are happening. All of these women that are doing remarkable things, and more than ever before, I think we need that. It’s truly inspiring."
