Abbey Clancy left red-faced after sending racy snap to 200 of husband's pals
Abbey Clancy has opened up about accidentally sending a racy picture to the wrong person... Two hundred times.
The model and former Strictly Come Dancing contestant has been with former Tottenham Hotspur striker Peter Crouch for 17 years and share four children together. However, they also share several embarrassing stories and never shy away when it comes to discussing their life behind closed doors.
Like most couples, the pair have their own friendship groups and WhatsApp group chats which often cross paths, especially when Abbey, 37, is attempting to locate her husband. The Liverpudlian star has now discussed the time when Peter's friends got a bit of an eyeful from her.
During one holiday, Abbey was wearing a bikini that a friend of her's had bought her and she was keen to send a few snaps of her wearing it to her friend – but it didn't exactly go to plan. The model explained that she had been blinded by the sun when she sent the photo to the wrong chat – with husband Peter, 42, being completely bewildered.
Speaking on The Chris Evans Breakfast Show, Abbey said: "I was texting my friend, she bought me a bikini and I was texting her a picture of it and you know when you type the first two letters of a name, and I couldn't see in the sun," as Peter added: "You've gotta remember there's 200 golfers on this WhatsApp group. We were away, I don't know how this even happened."
Abbey Clancy 'launches TV career on ITV' after podcast success with Peter CrouchAbbey added that the image was far from explicit and was merely a light-hearted picture as she explained: "I was mortified. It wasn't like a sexy shot, it was like a fun, 'I'm at the beach in a bikini you bought me.'" Upon realising the mistake, Peter rapidly deleted the WhatsApp message for everybody in the chat.
However, it was too late and he discovered this when his pals started sending him messages about Abbey's bikini snap. He revealed: "All the lads are like, 'Don't worry, we've got the screenshot. I've laminated it and put it on the bedroom wall' was one of the quotes." The admission comes after Abbey revealed Peter once left her in tears after he said she was "ruining his life".
Speaking to The Guardian, Abbey revealed that received a text from Peter that read: "I love you but you are ruining my life." Peter added: "I was being serious. But at least I said I love you."
