A grandmum flight attendant took to the skies with her grandaughter who also works in the crew.

Southwest Airlines flight attendant Cynthia Heck is involved in every aspect of providing a service for flight passengers including giving safety demonstrations and confirming to flyers they were now set for takeoff. Another flight attendant Hannah Heck watched before making a proud and spontaneous announcement over the intercom.

She said: "Does everyone see this sweet little lady wearing the life vest? That’s my grandma. So everyone better be extra nice to her." The reaction among passengers was one of disbelief with others laughing and clapping Cynthia and were astonished she had an adult granddaughter.

Hannah was later doing doing her safety checks, and Cynthia took hold of the mic and came back at her grandaughter. Cynthia cheekily said over the loud speaker: "Everyone, ask Hannah who did her laundry last night."

Cynthia also ensured sure she would be on on her granddaughter’s first Southwest flight And working together 'surreal and exciting' for both of them. Hannah said: “I couldn’t believe it. I looked at the back and she’s standing there making the announcements or we’re serving our drinks together. It was incredible that we got to work together.”
