Masked Singer's Knitting 'exposed' as Steps singer as fans rumble cryptic clues
The Masked Singer's Knitting might have been exposed just one episode into the new series.
Knitting took to the stage on Sunday evening to belt out a rendition of Becky Hill's hit Remember.
But from the moment they sang their first note, Knitting had viewers suggesting they knew exactly who was behind the mask.
As the mystery celebrity delivered a great performance, fans believed the recognisable vocals belonged to a member of the band Steps.
The clues also pointed to the band and possibly one member in particular, so fans were sure that, considering the clues and the voice, it was none other than Claire Richards under the costume.

With the costume and other teasers, it suggested the mystery person liked or was good at crafts - while fans also noted a magpie on the wall in the clue video.
Knitting's final riddle was: "Knitting is easy, it's the crossing of sticks. Count all of your stitches, there should 26."
Panellist Jonathan Ross suggested this could be linked to someone who has run the London Marathon, which is just over 26 miles long.

The number 26 could also mark how many years it has been since Steps' debut single 5,6,7,8 was released.
The solo magpie could be a nod to the rhyme One For Sorrow, which also happens to be the name of a Steps song.
As for the morning TV reference, Claire has hosted fashion segments on This Morning and used to be on the Loose Women panel - while she has made numerous daytime TV appearances during her career.
