The X Factor star Ray Quinn has got married, it has been announced. The singer and his new wife Emily Fletcher said 'I do' in a stunning Champagne-themed ceremony in a magnificent castle.

They were joined by 70 of their closest family and friends at Peckforton Castle's Great Hall, in Cheshire. Emily walked down the aisle arm-in-arm with her dad and "best friend" Simon to Coldplay's A Sky Full Of Stars on piano. As the musician, 35, locked eyes with his bride he burst into tears. He admitted all the emotion from the past year of planning the wedding, as well as from the big day, "just hit him".

Dance teacher Emily met the X Factor finalist in 2017. They share one-year-old daughter Summer and are also devoted parents to Harry, 11, from Ray's previous relationship as well as Emily's son Lucian, 10. Emily has described their wedding day as a "magical fairy tale". She looked gorgeous in an ivory open-back mermaid dress. It featured delicate glittering lace, that she paired with diamante sandals, diamond pearl drop earrings and a cathedral veil.

There were many personal touches throughout the day, as bride Emily chose cream roses, spray roses, and pretty ranunculus for her bouquet. She even did her own makeup while a professional tended to her six bridesmaids. Emily chose to be surrounded by her younger sister Taylor, best friend and cousin Elsie, cousins Poppy and Eve as well as Ray's nieces Lucy and Ruby. Their daughter Summer also attended the big day, as she wore an adorable floral dress and given a special bracelet that belonged to Emily's great-nan.

While Emily had a morning of calm, Ray admitted to OK Magazine that he was like a "lost puppy". He had to get into his Champagne-coloured velvet jacket and three-piece suit himself, but was supported by his two best men Harry and Lucian. Ray also had his groomsman brother by his side. They kept their day intimate and personal, by keeping the guest list relatively short.

Ray's dad, also called Ray, sadly passed away three years ago from cancer. Emily decided to make Ray a part of their big day by giving her new husband a tiny pin with his dad's picture on that he could wear inside his jacket. She also placed a picture of Ray on the sweetheart table during the wedding breakfast.

After they said 'I do', Ray's friend James Cowan played Tom Walker's Just You and I on the piano. Guests fired confetti cannons to mark the celebration. “When they announced us as Mr and Mrs Quinn, I felt like I was in a dream,” Emily told the publication. They took a walk around the ground of the stunning castle to soak it all in. The newlyweds then returned for the reception and wedding breakfast where they enjoyed a three-course meal of roast plum and tomato soup for the starter, with slow-cooked feather blade beef as the main, topped off with a classic sticky toffee pudding and ice cream.

The couple swapped a traditional wedding cake for a 50-glass champagne tower and enjoyed their first dance to country song Millionaire by Chris Stapleton. Ray also called on friend Shane to perform his Shane Nolan Band, with huge hits playing throughout the night. However, Ray couldn't resist getting up on the stage and so serenaded his bride with The Temptations’ My Girl.

They have decided to wait until Summer is older before heading off on a honeymoon, but plan to take a short "minimoon" in the meantime. Emily added: "We’ve got all we could ever need and wish for, and that’s to be content and happy in our life, with each other and our children.”
