WSL star Aisha Lehmann doesn't go short social of media attention, even when it comes to world famous rappers.

The 24-year-old is the most-followed women's footballer in the world on Instagram, having racked up more than 15.5million followers. And the Swiss international frequently uses the platform to post glamorous pictures as well as football-related ones.

And while her uploads receive hundreds of thousands of responses, it's fair to assume her DMs get pretty full up too. Indeed, she's now revealed a request from Canadian music star Drake, a self-confessed sports fanatic.

Speaking on Shirin David's Youtube channel, Lehmann spoke about how the 36-year-old privately messaged her on Instagram. Asked about the most famous person to get in touch, she responded: "That was only three days ago. Drake wrote to me! He asked me for a jersey."

Cynics might argue that Drake asking for football shirts is far safer than him betting on it. The star has become notorious for placing huge amounts of money on big sporting events, most notably the 2023 Super Bowl.

Over seven bets, he put down around £800,000 ahead of the clash between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles. However, he did manage to make a £400,000 profit when one of his gambles came in.

Lehmann, meanwhile, is currently in an Aston Villa side struggling in the WSL, having lost their opening two games of the 2023-24 season. And the former West Ham player recently admitted she resented people considering her a celebrity before a professional footballer.

"Some people just see Instagram and social media and don't even know I actually play football," she told talkSPORT. "When I don't post a football picture for a week, people say, 'oh she doesn't even play'.

"I think sometimes it's a bit hard because obviously I play like I train every day, like everyone else, like I play every weekend and sometimes it's hard because they make a picture of you. I'm a proper footballer. I work hard every day. I want to be the best version of myself in football and that's my first priority in life.”
