Prince Harry is set to reveal more about his “explosive” memoir in a new TV interview - his first American appearance to promote the book.

Millions of royal fans around the world are counting down the days until the publication of the Duke of Sussex’s memoir, Spare, on January 10.

It was announced on Sunday evening that the 38-year-old is set to discuss the book with renowned US talkshow host Anderson Cooper on 60 Minutes next Sunday. The interview will also be streamed on Paramount Plus.

The show’s official Twitter account said in a post: “Anderson Cooper will interview Prince Harry on 60 Minutes next Sunday, January 8, on CBS.

Their talk was called "revealing" in a voice-over for a TV ad promoting the special.

The Duke follows his father, the King, who gave an interview to 60 Minutes in 2005 and his grandfather, the late Prince Philip, in 1981.

The revelation is sure to give Buckingham Palace an early New Year headache ahead of the publication of the memoir.

Some on Twitter were unimpressed with the announcement, following so soon from the Duke and Duchesses’ Netflix series.

One said: “Seems like he wants to stay stuck in the past.

“I mean Oprah, the Netflix documentary, this interview and a book in less than two years. “Seems like a lot to share somewhat of the same story over and over.”

Another simply said: “Pass.”

Some revealed they were looking forward to the chat, with one saying: “Happy for him to be able to give his own information on his own life.

“True self-care.”

More revelations from the bombshell memoir were leaked over the weekend, and it seems the Royal Family may need to brace themselves for more bombshells in 2023.

is due to release his memoir this month - with the book following on from a string of documentaries and in which he has taken aim at his family.

While the Royal Family and their fans have been braced for a new batch of bombshells one advanced reader has claimed that it is William and Kate, the Prince and Princess of Wales, who need to brace for the worst.

While Harry is expected to be “tough” on William, and will also “lash out” at Kate, he has reportedly been kinder than expected on King Charles.

The source told “Generally, I think the book [will be] worse for them than the royal family is expecting.

“Everything is laid bare. Charles comes out of it better than I had expected, but it’s tough on William, in particular, and even Kate gets a bit of a broadside.

“There are these minute details, and a description of the fight between the brothers. I personally can’t see how Harry and William will be able to reconcile after this.”

The source goes on to declare that the book gives the impression that Harry is still struggling to get over the death of his mother, the late Lady Diana who died in a car accident in 1997 aged 36.
