Dillon Danis refuses to confirm he will fight Logan Paul in lie detector test

Dillon Danis refused to give a straight answer while hooked to a lie detector test about whether or not he actually intends on fighting Logan Paul this weekend.

The Bellator MMA star has touched down in Manchester for the bout with Paul, which is the co-headliner of Misfits Boxing's Prime Card at the AO Arena. Danis is notorious for talking a big game, but hasn't competed in four years after pulling out of a number of fights in both boxing and MMA.

He was due to compete in Bellator in January 2020 but suffered a gruesome knee injury that required two surgeries. The following year he allowed talks with Logan's brother Jake to fall apart while he recovered and this January he pulled out with just ten days notice before fighting KSI.

And while participating in a lie detector test for DAZN Boxing's YouTube channel, he was asked by host Ashley Tebi from Rak-Su if he truly intends on showing up Saturday night. After telling minimal lies during the session, he refused to give a straight answer, telling the X-Factor winner the best he could say was "maybe".

The test was part of a light-hearted skit, but did feature legitimate testing by Lie Detectors UK boss Jason Hubble that measured a number of metrics. He checked for blood flow, blood pressure, movements and sweat gland activity to gauge which answers were lies, with only a few light-hearted questions such as if he was the best looking fighter on the card resulting in negative readings.

Danis also claimed that he felt Logan was the better boxer out of the Paul brothers, noting that if he took the sport as seriously as his younger sibling that he would be more successful. He also admitted that he enjoys his rival's work in the ring as a WWE superstar, just not as a fighter.

Asked if he respects the elder Paul as a person, he truthfully answered no before adding: "I think he's a scumbag, I think he's egotistical, he bullies people that don't have the same opinion as him, he makes them sign NDAs and lawsuits and all this s***, I just don't respect him as a man or a boxer, I think he's good in WWE, I'll give him that but I don't respect him as a person.

"He's terrible, he goes down in one, he's not a fighter, he's been spoonfed everything he's ever had in his entire life and I'm just going to break him. He's never seen the kind of tenacity that I bring so he's going to f***ing break under the pressure. I don't think he has power, I think he has arm punches, skinny legs and all upper body, it's arm punches and I won't even feel them."
