Dillon Danis has been shown some rare support from long-time rival Ben Askren as his fight with Logan Paul this weekend in Manchester moves closer.

The Bellator MMA star has had a long-standing feud with many members of the combat sport community, and former world champion Askren is no exception. When the Olympian fought Jake Paul in 2021, he claimed that it was because Danis was too much of a coward to take the fight.

Meanwhile, Danis has regularly claimed that he would be able to beat Askren, who was undefeated for years before signing with the UFC, where he lost two of his three fights. But the wrestler seemingly put his feud with Danis to the side as he noted that his rival has won the trash talk battle with Paul ahead of the fight.

Askren incorrectly asserted that Paul is suing Danis for his actions over the past few months, when in fact it is his fiancee Nina Agdal who has taken legal action. But he claimed that the lawsuit is indicative of Danis getting into Paul's head as they approach fight night at the AO Arena in Manchester.

"He did win the trash talk because he got inside Logan Paul's head so bad that they [Nina Agdal] are suing him," Askren told Daniel Cormier on his YouTube channel, before recalling that Logan's brother Jake made similar comments towards his wife during their pre-fight build-up. "That's insane. I don't like it at all.

"I guess I take extra offence. I fought Logan's brother [Jake Paul]. He tried talking about my wife. And it wasn't a big deal. You know what? Because, I've got a great wife and a lover, and we have no issues. But if your wife has a checkered past, we'll say, and Dillon Danis has provided us plenty of receipts of this, then maybe you're a little more self-conscious of your significant other.

"And I think that's what we're seeing happen to the point of where they're so self-conscious about it [that] they have to sue someone to make them be quiet because they don't like their past deeds."
