Martin Lewis was branded "mean" by This Morning host Craig Doyle after a savage dig.

The Money Saving Expert appeared on the ITV daytime show to answer callers money worries. However things took a turn between the presenters during the phone-in. One caller asked for help with IVAs - an individual voluntary arrangement that is a formal and legally binding agreement between an individual and their creditors to pay back debts over a period of time.

Host Josie Gibson asked what an IVA was, and Martin gave an explanation during his answer to the caller. Afterwards, Craig told Josie: “I am so glad you asked what an IVA is," he asked Martin: "Is there a list or a glossary of terms somewhere, because I tell you something it is so difficult to know.”

Martin cheekily replied with his hand over his mouth: "It’s called the internet." Craig responded: "The internet, tell me more it will never take off..." Co-star Josie quipped: "You just got owned by Martin Lewis." Craig added: "I got burned. He was so mean right there, he was so mean," while Josie said: "But he is so clever."

‌Craig has been presenting the popular ITV daytime show following Phillip Schofield's departure earlier this year. The veteran broadcaster quit This Morning and ITV after admitting to an "unwise but not illegal" affair with a younger colleague. Viewers have been delighted with Craig on the show, and have expressed their wish for him to be Phil's permanent replacement.

Holly Willoughby has presented alongside both Josie and Craig. The two co-stars have been filling in for Holly this week after she has pulled out of the show following being targeted in an alleged kidnap and murder plot. It is understood Holly is taking some time away from This Morning and is expected to return after the October half term break.

Craig and Josie did not address Holly's absence on Monday morning, but the ITV show shared their support for the presenter after the news broke on Friday. Addressing Holly's alleged kidnap plot, Alison said: "We're obviously all shocked to hear the news and we want to send our love and biggest hugs to Holly and her family."

This Morning viewers were thrilled to see Josie and Craig together on This Morning and took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to comment. Alongside an image with the phrase "Yes", one viewer tweeted: "Not been on here for a while, HEYYYYYY! Craig and Josie #ThisMorning." And another wrote: "Nice to see Josie and Craig presenting #thismorning." Someone else shared: "It's a shame Craig and Josie are not permanent, they have much a more natural chemistry than some of the presenter combo's #ThisMorning." A fourth said: "Thank goodness it's Craig and Josie today!! #ThisMorning."
