Caitlyn Jenner 'tears up' in message to estranged stepdaughter Kim Kardashian
Caitlyn Jenner said that she "teared up" whilst hearing her stepdaughter Kim Kardashian recall advice that she had given her in a clip from an episode of the Kardashians.
The latest episode of the show saw Kim, 42, share that she was once encouraged by Caitlyn, 73, to go "outside of [her] comfort zone" in order to "grow". A clip of the scene was recently shared on Instagram through the show's account.
It prompted a reaction from Caitlyn - who was married to Kim's mother Kris Jenner from 1991 until their divorce in 2015 - earlier this week. She shared the clip on her own account and wrote a message to Kim in response to it.

Kim Kardashian shared advice that she had received in a confessional on the latest episode of the Kardashians (Hulu)Caitlyn wrote: "[Kim] I am so proud to be your step dad - always have been, always will be. I promised your father and I've tried my best to keep that promise and I love you to the moon and back. Always so proud of you. Love you."

She further shared her thoughts in the comments section of the post, which has amassed more than 30,000 likes. Caitlyn told one fan: "I saw the clip and truly teared up." She also wrote beneath the post: "[It] meant the world to hear."
After being complimented as an "incredible" parent and stepparent, the reality TV star - who tagged stepdaughter Kim in the post - expressed gratitude. She responded to the comment on the post: "Thank you. Best years of my life!"

They said to her: "You strike me as the kind of person who before you're ready to take the step, you take the step."
Kim said: "Yeah. [...] That's something that my stepdad taught me and she said to me something that really stuck with me for a really y'know I guess my whole life is just that I should try to do things that I am scared of and that are outside of my comfort zone because that's the only way I'll ever grow."
It comes amid the release of the docuseries House of Kardashian, in which Caitlyn appears (Sky)Caitlyn's reaction to the clip comes following the release of the docuseries House of Kardashian. The three-part series, which was released on Sky Documentaries and NOW over the weekend, explores the Kardashian-Jenner family.
A trailer for the docuseries showed Caitlyn suggesting that step-daughter Kim had "calculated" her fame. She's heard saying in a clip during it: "Kimberly calculated from the beginning 'how do I become famous'." Caitlyn previously told Piers Morgan that she "doesn’t talk to any of [the Kardashians] anymore" and "lost all relationship" with her stepchildren.
