In a class full of children named Olivia and Oliver, you might want your child's name to stand out a bit more, looking for more creative or vintage names in order to find something special.

If you're looking for particularly rare names for your little girl, one names consultant has listed the ten monkiers that were given to less than ten babies in the US in 2022. Stephanie Lynn Coffield, or 'Names With Steph' as she's known on TikTok, explained these "gorgeous" names are incredibly rare, as names "don't get on the list unless they've been given to at least five babies".

She started with the name Andrina, which was given to nine baby girls last year. A variation on the name 'Andrew', she described it as "so familiar sounding". Second on the list was Bettina, given to seven girls, describing it as a "fantastic" derivative of the name Elizabeth. The next one she prefaced by saying it "might give some of you pause", as nine baby girls were named Connor in 2022, following the trend for more masculine sounding names for girls like James and Logan. Similarly, she listed Mayer, only given to five girls last year.

Steph highlighted one particularly rare name for Taylor Swift fans. Eralyn, a name given to only five baby girls in 2022, would be perfect for people who went to the Eras tour, according to the pro, as she said: "How gorgeous is that?"

Surprisingly, the name Loreen was only given to eight girls and she described it as the perfect way to honour a Lauren in your life if you want something different. The name Ebby, given to six girls, she compared to the name 'Abby'.

Another rare gem, Opaline, was bestowed on five girls in America last year. "I think it's a great take on Opal, she could use Opal as a nickname", she expressed. She reported six girls were named Vanelope, explaining that while it's similar sounding to the Wreck-It Ralph character, "it's gorgeous."

Seven girls were named Zeila, which Steph referred to as an "African place name", referring specifically to an ancient city in Somaliland. "I think this is a fantastic 'Z' alternative to the more common one," she said in reference to the name Zayla.

People took to the comments to express their opinions on the name - good and bad. One person expressed their shock that these names were so rare as "these aren't even that 'out there'." Another explained that Connor is from the novel The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid. "She named her baby girl Connor. The book was trendy last year." One person, less enthused by the rare names, suggested "let's just keep these names below ten, okay?"
