Louise Redknapp and Kelle Bryan have shared their disappointment that an Eternal reunion won't go ahead.

The Mirror had exclusively revealed that Louise and Kelle pulled out of the reunion over their bandmates Easther and Vernie Bennett refusal to play the festivals, objecting to their allegiance with the trans community.

A source told The Mirror recently: "In June the girls received an email from Easther and Vernie who refused to play any gay festivals or Pride. They said they can’t support the LGBTQ community now it has an alliance with the trans community, a stance Vernie in particular has been public about on socials.

"Louise and Kelle were stunned and pulled out immediately - Louise's fan base is 98 percent gay men. She and Kelle believe everyone is welcome to their shows. It’s a real shame for their fans who have been waiting such a long time for this moment."

Speaking on Loose Women today, Louise revealed they had known each other since they were 11-years-old. Recalling their first meet, Louise said: "First day of school, we sat next to each other in Studio 54, I think. Downstairs by reception.

Kelle then chimed in to quip: "Blimey, you've got a good memory," before Louise added: "We sat next to each other and that was it." The pair reunited on the show today, but insisted it wasn't the plan for them to be on the show together amid the news.

"It's funny, I know the timing is a bit odd with everything going on in the press. I was booked on this show a month ago and this has never happened and it's just bonkers that it's wrapped around all the things that are going on at the moment," Kelle said.

Kaye then shared: "Obviously you're referring to quotes in the press about an Eternal reunion, so how are you feeling about that?"

Louise went on to explain that she's always been an open to a reunion, but wanted everyone - including the fans - involved.

"For me, I've always been open. I would have always loved to do a reunion with the girls and I've been very open about that over the years. I just feel passionate about the LGBTQ+ community were involved and included. It's just that simple. I have a lot of love for what we've done and we're still the best of friends, which has been incredible," she said.

Kelle was then asked about her position on the reunion, as she added of her thoughts on her bandmates' comments: "For me, I made my statement so I've been really clear that being part of this band has been life changing for me. The music and the relationship with the fans has been most important. As long as that's for everyone, that's the main thing."
