Meghan Markle 'blindsided' ex with divorce and 'sent rings back in the post'
Meghan Markle's ex-husband Trevor Engelson was reportedly "blindsided" by her request for a divorce, though he's said to have since "moved on" from the situation.
The former actress, 42, and film producer Trevor, 46, divorced two years after they married in 2011. They had been in a relationship for a six years prior to their short-lived marriage.
Meghan and Trevor have both since married other people. She's been married to Prince Harry, 39, since 2018, while Trevor married nutritionist Tracey Kurland in 2019.

A source told Bella magazine: "When she told Trevor she wanted a divorce, he was devastated." It's claimed that Trevor reached out to Meghan's father Thomas Markle, 79, at the time and that he didn't know "where it had gone wrong".

"He was genuinely blindsided," the source said, adding that Trevor was "heartbroken" at the time. They stated that he would contact their mutual friends saying that he "didn't know what had gone wrong" with their relationship.

Whilst Trevor has since married Tracey Kurland (FilmMagic)The source alleged that he "took a while to recover," before adding: "He's a good guy but Meghan crushed him when she demanded a divorce." The source went on to claim that Trevor was further upset by her subsequent romance.
It was claimed in the article that Trevor was "crushed all over again" by her subsequent relationship with Prince Harry. Their romance is believed to have begun in around 2016, a few years after her first marriage to Trevor had ended.
The source said that Trevor ended up being "reminded" of his ex-wife Meghan because of the publicity around her marriage to Prince Harry years later. The couple attracted much attention when they tied the knot back in 2018.
It was however further suggested by the source that Trevor - who founded production company Underground - has since "moved on" from the situation. The film producer is said to have two children with his wife Tracey.
