Cadbury scraps iconic Easter treat leaving fans ‘fuming’
Cadbury has scrapped its iconic Easter treat - leaving chocolate fans "fuming".
The chocolate giant has axed one of Britain's favourite Easter treat, the Dairy Milk Egg 'n' Spoon cartons.
Cadbury's owner, Mondelez, has said that the move reflects "changing tastebuds".
But the decision to do so means that the fan favourite is now no longer available to shoppers - and so they will not be able to buy them this Easter.
The popular chocolate goodies came inside a purple egg box, which contained four Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate eggs, filled with a bubbly chocolate mousse. The box set also contained two purple spoons.

We’ve made a few changes to reflect this and think our 2023 line-up is egg-cellent, even if we do say so ourselves!"
Fans of the Easter egg have branded the move a "crime" as it means the Egg 'n' Spoon's will not be available in supermarkets.
After the news broke, Cadbury fans reacted to it on TikTok, after a user posted a video which hinted that the chocolate is gone for good.
One person said: "This is an absolute crime. Cadbury's bring them back."
While another wrote: "Please bring back the egg and spoon chocolates!! I seriously crave these every day and can’t understand why you would discontinue your best chocolates :(".
Someone else wrote: "I've literally been looking everywhere for them because I love them so much and now it makes sense why I can't find them," while a fourth put: "Why?? They were incredible! I noticed the chocolate one wasn’t out last year only the Oreo one."
One more put: "Omg I am fuming, they are my favourite."
And another person said: "Please tell me you're joking."
A seventh devastated fan wrote on social media: "NO PLS IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THEM."
And another shared: "Noooo they can't be gone their acc one of my old time favourites".
