Gigi Hadid shares rare photo of daughter she shares with Zayn Malik for little one's third birthday

Gigi Hadid uploaded rare snaps of her young daughter Khai, who she shares with her ex Zayn Malik, in honour of her third birthday.

The supermodel was every inch the doting mother as she took to her Instagram platform on Thursday with a slew of images from her child's birthday bash. 28 year old Gigi was seen smiling for the camera as she hugged the youngster, whose face she continued to keep hidden with a rainbow emoji.

Further images from the celebratory day included a snap of Khai painting her toenails in rainbow colours, while in another, they soaked up the sunshine during a fun-filled day at the beach, in which Gigi wore a stylish orange bikini and a navy baseball hat. Ensuring it was a day to remember for her daughter, the catwalk queen shared a look at Khai's lunch, which included a slice of rainbow-themed cake. She also took a bit of a break from the rainbow-themed as she shared a snap of the little one's Frozen-inspired birthday cake.

However, Gigi reflected on how quickly time appeared to pass from the day she was born, as she shared a snap of herself sleeping with newborn Khai. The youngster was also given a rainbow-themed birthday cake for her first birthday celebrations, as was evident in another snap. "Have been celebrating our THREE YR OLD this week & just so honored to get to be her mama, to get to see life through her !!!! Happy Birthday to my sweetest, smartest, spunkiest bestie !!!!!!!! DREAM KID / love of my life," Gigi captioned with a series of rainbow, unicorn, flower and heart emojis.

Her celebrity friends couldn't resist commenting on the images, with Kate Hudson writing: "Oh Mama! Can't believe she's 3 already HBD." Fellow supermodel Shanina Shaik commented: "Happy birthday KAI!" while Kylie Jenner commented with a white heart emoji. Meanwhile, Gigi's mother, Yolanda Hadid, wrote: "Greatest gift of all."

Gigi shares Khai with her ex, former One Direction star Zayn, who separated for good in 2021. Zayn's mother, Trisha, recently revealed that his number one priority was focusing his energy on "being a good dad". "Zayn's energies are focused on being a good dad to Khai and his work, and that's not going to change any time soon," she told MailOnline. "He's a wonderful father, very caring and loving and devotes a lot of time to his daughter. It's what gives him the most pleasure in life."

"He's a good-looking lad, and a lot of women are interested in him, but none of that interests him at the moment. He's not even in the dating game. It's all about Khai and then his work," she admitted. Trisha says Zayn and Gigi's setup is 'working very well'. She called them both 'wonderful people and parents', revealing that the supermodel used to visit Bradford while the pair were dating, detailing the 'very quiet' operations. Trisha admitted it was 'strange having a supermodel in the house' and said she was a 'great girl'.
