Cam Holmes has gushed over his girlfriend, Emily Miller, whom he met on the Netflix hit, Too Hot To Handle.

The South Wales native became an international hit after his appearance on the second series of the show and has since gone on to rack up over two million followers. But away from cameras, both Cam and Emily have dealt with tragic losses but the couple admit they're stronger than ever.

Despite the couple shying away from the reality television and influencer scene, Cam, 26, recently released his debut single, Roses, but revealed he was grateful that the show had given him such a huge platform. But the couple don't share a lot of their relationship, despite having a YouTube channel together.

Speaking to the Mirror, Cam said: "Me and Em have been through a lot as a couple, last year we lost our baby, that was a massive thing we went through together and we've just lost our dog, we go through these things together. We support each other and she's honestly been amazing through this whole process of me making music. I said to her it's going to be stressful. I have a tendency, I'm an anxious kid, and I do go up and down. So I said 'We have to be in this together' and she's literally been my rock, she's so supportive."

In June last year, Cam and Emily shared on social media that she had been rushed into hospital after suffering an ectopic pregnancy. She explained to fans that she had "collapsed in pain" just weeks after finding out she and Cam were expecting their first child. An ectopic pregnancy occurs when the fetus becomes stuck in the Fallopian tubes and continues to grow.

But despite their heartache just one year after their series aired, Cam explained that he always knew the couple would stay together after the show ended. "The reason a lot of people resonate with me and Em is because of how real it was and how personal our journey was" he explained, before adding: "My main thing, I wanted to work through any issues that I had at the time on the show, obviously we're still working through them now but I didn't want to leave thinking we're just going to be another failed reality TV relationship."

Cam admits that he wanted to leave the programme in a relationship, knowing that he and Em would settle down for life and eventually marry. "I'm not surprised that we're still together in a strange sense," he stated before adding that he didn't have his sights set on becoming the next big reality star. However, things could have been very different as he joked he had hoped to leave as a single man.

"Annoyingly, I met Em and I thought 'This is someone I want to be with for the rest of my life,'" he gushed. Discussing his debut single, Roses, he said: "I knew that the single was good and I knew that the feedback would be positive but it's been overwhelming, just the amount of people, the thought of people around the world just listening to my song in the car or in the shower, it's quite a strange thought that I haven't wrapped my head around."

The musician who recently dropped the video for Roses admits that he had been working on the track for a long time and was supported by pals in the music industry. He said: "It was definitely nerve-wracking because I didn't know how I was going to be perceived. I didn't know if people would go 'Oh he's a reality star, he's not an artist'. Ever since I've come off Too Hot To Handle, every little thing I've done has been curated to not be too much in the influencer space."

But this came with repercussions as the Welsh artist revealed he'd turned down huge amounts of money from influencer-related deals in order for him to be taken seriously as a musician.
