Shoppers have been raving about an Amazon eye cream, with effects can be seen "right away" - and users have also said how it gives them "brighter and tighter" looking skin that is free from wrinkles. Of course we're talking about the L'Oréal Paris 2.5% Hyaluronic Acid and Caffeine Eye Serum - that claims to plump, brighten and depuff your eyes thanks to its concoction that includes (and not to mention, a double dose of) Hyaluronic Acid, Niacinamide and caffeine - so it's no wonder it's one of Amazon's best sellers, especially with it being on offer for £16.67.

Usually retailing at £25, the serum comes with a triple bead applicator that is great for targeting puffiness in tired eyes and the addition of the caffeine re-energises skin making it look younger and targets those pesky dark circles under your eyes that make you look way more exhausted than you are. Plus, the serum is suitable for skincare lovers who have sensitive eyes or who wear contact lenses.

Amazon customers who have tried the L'Oréal Paris 2.5% Hyaluronic Acid and Caffeine Eye Serum are well and truly hooked and have revealed that they've returned time and again to purchase this trusty product, which has racked up over 1,000 reviews.

One shopper wrote: "I've been using for 2 weeks now and not just around my eyes but the rest of my face too...My skin feels and looks more rejuvenated and my wrinkles are definitely less visible...A few people have commented on how great my skin looks. Definitely will keep purchasing this. Thank you.."

Another five star reviewer said: "You can feel it working straight away, I was very surprised how much I like it. I keep mine in the fridge for that extra cooling effect for my puffy eyes in the morning."

Other who gave the product high praise added: "Bought this and was skeptical but it actually works. Does improve the appearance of wrinkles. I’ll be buying more.," and "Really nice to put on and cooling. After only 2 weeks of use I saw visible results. Seems like it was last a long time too so great value for money."

While many people who've bought the product absolutely love it and hail it as a "permanent step in my skincare routine" whose results have "wowwed" them, others haven't been as convinced with many commenting on the placement of make up over the top of the serum.

One customer, who gave the product three stars said: "I have tried various under eye creams and serums and yet to find one that is ultimately the bees knees. I tried this as the description of it sounded great and it wasn't bad value compared to some out there... My main negative with this is how makeup doesn't sit right over it. I tried with and without a primer and my concealer or foundation just never looked right over it. May be good for some, but not for me."

Another added how it was "overrated", stating: "When I ordered this as expecting big things the package itself tricks you into a false sense of security making you believe that you're getting a large bottle how mistaken was I to open said box to find the bottle is half the size of the packaging....

"Personally I would say there's little to no scent the formula is light and not at all oily. I would say I felt as if it almost evaporated before it hit my skin. The applicator is unusual as well again completely unexpected."

They finished their review by saying: "I feel there is better alternatives. I have seen no changes to my skin since use. Personally I feel this is severely overrated. But all skin types are different and I could just be unlucky. I don't dislike it it's not much to write home about!"

That being said, this product is an Amazon best seller and L'Oréal Revitalift Filler Eye Serum has had proven results to make skin look more youthful, refreshed and wrinkles less defined thanks to its active ingredients of caffeine, niacinamide and hyaluronic acid.

However, L'Oréal isn't the only brand to have miracle working Hyaluronic Acid in their serums that have proven results - and that won't break the bank.

This Olay Collagen Peptide 24 Day Serum claims to work wonders for anti-ageing and has had its price slashed on Amazon from £38 to £13.60. This Hydrabio Serum from Boots also is an intense hydration regenerating serum that moisturises the skin instantly and lastingly while restoring its radiance - and it's only £18.50. No7's £10 eye cream is "amazing for fine lines" and has shoppers seeing improvements within only a few days. We can always rely on Beauty Pie to give us a skincare saviour or two and its Japanfusion Genius Lift Elixir is said to give you an "instant shot of skin magic" - we'll take a shot of skin magic for £14, please.
